We all make decisions
To have or not to have
Sometimes, the road hits
Us almost to drop our wits
Don't forget the gift for mirth
You have a talent to unearth

We all make decisions
To see or not to see
The opportunity in our stead
Perhaps your idea is the head
To commit the body to care
See the idea, live the idea

We all make decisions
To be or not to be
Yes, everyone is someone
To make a man of someone
Slow and steady is chaste
Much haste makes for waste

We all make decisions
To work or not to work
What you can do for us,
Do well and be a plus
Africa needs your star
To make not to mar
Life  ought be a resolution
Carved on a lovely mission

Broken as is
Fire at peace
Let be
As I am.

Not a puzzle piece
To solve
Nor a shattered doll.

Scarred as a
Warrior must be
Shaped by the
Travails of time.

Take me thus
For who I am.

Time has given up on me
And so has gravity,
As I float through
The barriers of time.
Floating through the past,
                               the present,
                               the future
Never settling anywhere
A stranger even in
My own memories
Don’t mind me, I’m
Just visiting
Just passing through

I’ll be gone soon.
