For every soul
There is one underground,
To be lost and found, to be lost and found.

The river does not know how to stop
The movement does not have any border.

It breaks one side and builds the other side
The river goes on to the sea
It breaks down as it wishes
Whatever the dam you built.

Yet this is the life of the riverside
Beloved to many people
They are the witnesses of the breaking and building
The river has taken their own.

The river is filled up
Hits both the sides
Here comes the tidal waves
Wake up everyone!

Life

In the life of tears and laughter
What is left to see?
It may seem like this life
Entire entity is empty.

In the bend of river life
The memories are hidden
Never let to catch, never let to see
There is no limit to its perimeter.

So on the pages of life
Let's all write them down
All the makers of all events
And, become a mute witness.

Oh, infinitely beautiful girl
you are not alone

she wrote with
scarlet lipstick on her mirror

But words alone
don't
change hearts

and she was infinitely
unhappy

cursed

doomed

All the boys and men
said yes
to her

but her brother still
said no
I knew that scars
Will never take me far,
But if I learn some way
To live with it
And heal somehow,
I could be my very own star.
I was stuck in a rut,
Not in a place I knew.
I had my heart shut,
Through and through.
If you are someone who often gets stuck in places beyond their comprehension, you just might relate to this. Places where your heart stops working and you don't know what is real and fantasy. I've heard people facing a war against addiction often experience this and also in some cases it can be a medical condition, often beyond their control. But in the end, I think the human spirit is stronger than these places and it is what will survive. We just have to believe and have faith in ourselves, often the most difficult part but well worth it.

PS: The title is inspired by a song of the same name by 'The War On Drugs'. One of my personal favourites and highly recommended :)
Portraits lying on the old shelf,
Reminds me of a time
I used to do a good impression
Of myself
They say people never change,
It's rather quite strange
That there's a world beyond that door
While I was stuck sleeping on the floor,
Trying to diverge the bold arrow of time
Is in itself a crime?
Things seem unreal
Like a one-hand clappin'
Things take time to heal,
Just let it happen.
The journey of a portrait through time.
