When I close my eyes,
And “Only Time” is playing
I feel you near by - my better half.
My senses are fooled, but my heart is warm.
“What a way to make it through” the day.  Not knowing what the next day will be.
I would rather “Sail Away” with you than drown in my foolishness.
“Only Time” will tell what tomorrow will be.  
For the time being, closing my eyes is all I have.  It will have to do for now.
When I close my eyes, and feel you near by, they don’t stay close for long.  
Tears are stronger than ever imagined.
They opened up my eyes to what my heart could never see.

Sometimes it is better to let go

Than to hold on

For holding longer than possible

Makes everything impossible.



Sometimes letting go heals

To renew feelings, emotions

To just live without pain.



But pain is a measurement,

A gauge to pay attention to.

For holding longer than possible

The pain becomes unbearable.

Giving up.

That also makes everything impossible.



Living an impossible life is

Worried.  (You don’t love me)
Ashamed.  (Of what I’ve done)
Hurt.  (Of what has become)
Needing.  (To be understood)
Wanting.  (You and all of you)

Hoping.
I am seen.
Learning to live.
Accepting it all.

Don’t forget me when I am gone,
I am right here.  I’ll be back.
You’ll see me again, you’ll feel me again.
But for the moment, don’t forget me when I am gone.
It won’t be long, you’ll see.  
It won’t be long.

My heart says, “I love you”
My tears say “I miss you”
And my soul says, “I don’t want to be without you”

And my brain, the logical of all, the problem causer says “I am sorry”.
