One day you wake up
And you just are
For a moment
Suspended in your dreams

I pretend to know
How the universe and its infinite rivers
flow like dandelion fields alive
When really the only thing which bursts in me
is unknowing and being
in this reactive fall
And as the earth approaches fast below
I ask it why
And plead to fly
For myself no less to all
You make it up as you go. Everyone does, or at least is envious of those who do.
She used to wonder in a dark place called mind,
Where lanterns of thoughts lightened up the place...
And kept her awake all night.
Her mind is like an amusement park...
where she loves taking rides on the
roller coaster of thoughts.
People always say
how dreams do come true,
how wondrous it is
to be submerged into visions
that belong solely to your mind.

What they never speak of,
as if trying to forget,
is that dreams of wonder,
dreams of light,
can turn to darkness.

Suddenly, dreams of a perfect world
become the horror that we try
so desperately to escape.

Yes, dreams do come true,
but what no one ever tells you
is that nightmares are dreams too.

I wrote this for an assignment in my English class last week. I love the whole thing about dreams coming true and then people being reminded that dreams are not just happiness and wonder, they're also your darkest fears.
I have never thanked you,
for the conversations.

I have never thanked you,
for the smile.

I have never thanked you,
for asking me how i'm really doing.

I have never thanked you,
for staying alive.

Thank you,
thank you.
But it doesn’t need
A purpose to read
The natural structure
Is the mystery

A stanza where two minds melt
Certainly words of comfort and wealth

These thing only matter to us
Catch and ride the purposeful bus
Themes and memes of rolling streams
Sleepwalking the poetical dream

If I could only keep up with the train!
