Eye of newt
          toe of frog
                scale of snake
                              bark of dog.
A cauldron boiling
                         over an open blaze
its vapor makes
                        an eerie haze.
A pinch of this
        a pinch of that
              a magic broom
                    an old black cat.
Cobwebs
            Spiders
                  creaking floor
                       scary shadows
                                 on the door.
                                     Howling winds
                                  pouring rain
                              curtains lick
                        the window pane.
             Groans
          and
              moans
                      a Ghoulish scene…

TRICK OR TREAT, IT’S HALLOWEEN!!!
~
Inspired by good old Shakespeare’s three “weird sisters”, Scene I of Macbeth.

“Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison’d entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights hast thirty one
Swelter’d venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i’ the charmed ***.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witches’ mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin’d salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg’d i’ the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Sliver’d in the moon’s eclipse,
Nose of Turk, and Tartar’s lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver’d by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger’s chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.”

Autumn Rose
(Long, long ago,
when people still
believed in witches...)

-To wander
longingly through
the forest in search
of mystery, but
she herself was
a haunted house.
When night comes,
the whole witch chorus
follows anon.
On brooms of blazing
embers they ride,
Jumping out
of Hell-fire.
The wind is hushed,
The stars grow pale
while the black cat cries
to the moon.
It was All Hallow's Eve,
the ancient ones could tell.
Where ghosts haunt their
graveyard,
Until the morning stars sang
together.

(Here, in the forest,
dark and deep,
I offer you
eternal sleep...)
Happy Halloween!!!

Seema
the sky is too high
the mountains too steep
i want to fly
but i can only stroll and creep

the trees are too tall
rivers and ocean too deep
i want to take a fall
but i can only crawl and leap

the earth is too dry
the clouds pour no rain
i really want to cry
but it's useless showing my pain

this life is worth something
for someone not as cheap
i don't crave for anything
but just one, whom i seek...*

Humans are all one
However we are not all for one
Instead we are all for ourselves
Humans are not perfect
And that I understand
But instead of trying to strive for perfection
We **** one another because we want to feel powerful
We scorn one another because we want others to feel our pain
We break one another because we want someone else to be broken
We hate one another because we want someone else to be hated like we are
Then, we **** ourselves because we don’t want to live like that
Because we don’t want really want to ****, or scorn, or break, or hate one another
We just want someone else to feel human
All of us are human, and none of us are perfect. Know that no matter who you are, there is someone else out there that feels your pain.
