Undermining power intellectually
Can make more of an impact
Than trying to dismantle it
Entirely
One who shares his woes in a humorous manner usually overcomes it silently.

At night dreams keep me awake.
During the daytime, dreams keep me going.

I cannot die but I'm not living either,
but mom;
tell me,
if I do well today,
am I going to live tomorrow?

You were born near the warm ocean,
grew up around there,
With your clear acrylic smile
and sun-kissed blonde hair

I, the winter cold
More north than I can remember,
We met that day you visited,
a brisk chill, that December

We drank and danced,
while the years passed over
Argued and grew apart,
our greatest fears, now sober

My memories of you, once treasured
Now, faded
as sun deprived lands complain,
Forever, jaded
She is a poem of his heart
He never disclosed
In front of anyone.

My Dear Poet
I’m stuck between a letter and a word
pushing towards the end of a line
in many a meaning, I’ve shamefully erred
to make sense of a sentence and a rhyme
all this effort consumes me
It bleeds my heart to think
my soul is weighing heavy
till poetry pours out of me like ink
many a thought often slay me
I rewrite to find release
I’m lost, till you find me
crying out, “read me…please”
Poets are fools for pain
