A black bird on a bridge side
Sitting slightly on an incline
Tilts its head somewhat oddly
And squints at the wind as if he sees it passing
Is it too heavy a breeze
To fly with ease?

Good Morning squirrels
Stay safe and happy today
Dear Sky, You have to rain but can it wait for me to finish today?
You soaked me through a few times already
Trusty umbrella and a bottle of iced diet green tea at the ready
My miles help animals and me with an app that measures my distances.
They help me get on with it by walking

Don't go anywhere,

there is a Way, you just walk --

That's living your life.

"The Book and the Brotherhood" (1987, Iris Murdoch), § 1

Collection "Unspoken"
It's lonesome time, feeling like I am not needed
Fallen leaves, they'll leave the scene in few days.
It won't be pretty, so better removed
The nature of human, better move on,
Forget the previous dawn.
No time reminisce, no time to care
Just be there to find your feet falling in line.

It is fatigue, linings on our face
Broken inside, but make up will cover
Every day, a flower dries,
Every night, a flower dies
It is sad view in the evening by the lake
Sometimes for progress, humanity is on stake

Today is no better than yesterday,
I miss everything from past lives and future times
It is always so lonesome on this planet,
Every creature is feeling the same kind of feeling.
Adults

  Keep the awful truths from
  the children. Hide them behind
a velvet curtain and sing sweet
  songs of innocence 'til daylight.

           Children

We eavesdrop from the stair top
hearing the adults in their cups
spilling the beans on every ****
thing we are "too frail" to know.

My eyes don’t soften
anymore
when I see yours
return my glance
Or when I find myself
staring at your outline
in the dark, cold night

The pit of my stomach,
hollowed out
to fit the misery
of being overjoyed
And when I find myself
thinking for too long
it becomes hard to avoid

Because your eyes never softened
for mine-
first, second, third,
fourth chance
You could never find yourself-
you’re just an outline
drowning me in your dark, cold night.
First thing I do when
I get to work
is hide

Because a good employee
is hard to find
