Deep within something that doesn't exist
Or far away from someone you can't resist

That is where you find your purpose.
The reason you're supposed to live.
Only then will you truly know sanctity.
Only then can you really excell.
Some of us won't make it.
We will lay in these beds of insanity.

'Long as we have that one we can't resist
'Long as we know they simply **exist
Wrinkled lips leak twisted tales in your chiseled space between realities
The kids all listen to your great advice
Heeding your misanthropic words and singing your praises

"How right and noble it is to feel so glum and strive to strike down smiles with the tongue
Ma looks on as the children skin Pa to the bone
Better to receive than to give"

         They scream in monotone

I sit back and watch transfixed as this transpires
Thinking on my unforgiven sins and sipping your elixir
Koolaid from the kitchen served in unwashed broken dishes
My only desire is for you to finish spinning your stories

The lies pour forth from the intestines of a sick piglet holed up in the morgue
You couldn't be real to save your life

Your dead eyes drip crocodile tears into my glass
I watch it mix slowly and think out loud:
"You reside in Florida so I guess its appropriate"

But every puddle has it's bottom and your breath is wasted sobbing
When you're sinking just to try and float
So if you'll shut the hell up I'll be much more than happy to slit your ******* throat

As a kid i thought i was so bright
that my thoughts and eyes held candle to moonless nights
Big dreams slowing my memory like an over loaded android phone
Back then, dreaming was my sin, my only felony
But years and age walked me into reality
Then i realized, there is nothing wrong with dreaming
The only wrong therein is not waking up to live it.......

Petal pie
She drew an s  shape on my foot with a stick
I lay there, paralysed with fear,
thinking was this the subtle beginning
of a programme of torture.
Her white coat and stethoscope
glinting in the strip lighting.

She asked me if I knew where i was.
I lay there, frozen with fear,
not able to open my mouth.
I could read letters on her name badge
I read it as Dr Helliday
So that's where i was
I thought, that confirms it
along with her snake charming smile.

She tried to get me to drink
But I lay there stiff with fear,
not wanting to open my mouth
in case it was poison.
She placed a wet sponge on my lips
my eyes widening in terror.

Can you see how many fingers I'm holding up?
She said gently
I lay there tensed up with fear.
I thought it must be a trap
I couldn't open my mouth
and fall in.

I was seeing things around me
that pinned me to the bed with fear.
Patients pouring blood out of windows.
shadows of nurses in nooses.
I screamed inwardly.
But could not open my mouth
for fear had clamped it shut
After coming out of a two week coma, I was taken to a psychiatric ward, but was in this catatonic state, hallucinating, it was terrifying, and it turned out i had water on my brain, so was readmitted to a medical ward.

The Doctor was in fact called Dr Holliday, and this was 9 years ago. I am so thankful for every day since **
