You are a flower
Far too beautiful for me to pluck
I will come to your site everyday
Just to adore your sight
I'll leave you in your natural habitat
I cherish you
But I won't be selfish
I'll leave you for others to behold also
Utmostly, I want what's best for you
When you cherish something, don't destroy it in an attempt to make it yours!

I cast my net
                  into the tributary

and release into you, a seasonal swim,

I give to you a mother's color,
        as you recite
        infant hymns,

                    you're a bleeder
on the days sunfire meters out its origin,
                    you're my river

free and clear from the grip

      of anchorage,

                         my river,

drifted on to wherever
                       moon wishes glister

And she’s not
Coming back
Dreadful fact,
Drop the act
Your just mirror and smoking
The unspoken pact
Perhaps it
Could have lasted
And withered away
Still at least in the sight of her
Aging and gray
Waste away with me,
Lay with me,
Bask here all day with me
I ran astray
You were my
Scared of death delay
One greater reason
To actually care
To despair less in knowing
I’m all too aware
It was barely a blink
In the lifespan of time
It was scarcely-resourcing
Discourses
Of mind
And yet mine is here wondering
Onward into
Was it me who so tragically
Failed to love you
Where are you in this life?
You are invariably in this room, on this street, in this place.
Well, sometimes it's not really you and at other times new crowds are bringing a temporary room-sharing in.
There, in the
tide pool, dappled by
the sun, is birth and death,
and the spark that continues.
It leaves mankind in a wake of regret.
What have I to do with the albatross
Or sea lion?
I can but write, while they fly and roar.
I gaze upon the Pacific from this rock,
all its mysteries and grandeur.
I am inferior, while it forever reigns with
every wave and break of light.

A month of Sundays intrudes darkly
upon a beautiful soft new Spring.
Casting the shadows of confusion,
growing hope for what Summer may bring.
