Too many thoughts
Dea Nov 2018
There are too many thoughts
Whizzing round and round

Around
And around
And around
And
JUST STOP!

One at a time
Get in line

It's all a bit much
I can't process you all

Concentrate on just one
Or none would be fine

Some peace
Some quiet
A respite
From my mind

A holiday from the places
That my brain takes me too

A place of just nothing
Where I don't have to think through
The multiple things
That don't really matter
Shouldn't really matter

But do
Do really matter
To me.

Going back
Dea Nov 2018
You were you
Just you
Just you to talk to
Just you to share with
Just you to trust
To care
To be there

Now you are two
It's lovely it is
But to get to just you
Means checking in on the clock
Like a job or an appointment
Or to go through other you
To get to you
It's like your not there

To clock out is a relief
No pestering from work
Strangers
Parents
Family
Social media
Friends ... best friends

I love the both yous
But I miss you as you
The adventure
The fun
The closeness and sharing
The trust the support
Knowing you were there
Knowing you do still care.

To write whether the words in your writing are good writing

Or

Infact writing that ought not to have been written in the first place.

Now tell me

From this writing

How do you write the words that you now want to be written?
