My garden grows by God’s green hands
I merely mend the trails

I wonder wayward ‘round the wood
Escaped from jealous jails

I find a soft, sweet solace there
Where human logic fails

you take all of the

whenever you leave.

I wish
her scars were on my heart
and not on her arms.
These halls seem somewhat hollow
A certain sense of sorrow
Now graces ancient stone.
Replacing familiar faces
With defaced family paintings
And cold ancestral bones.
Thrones thrown upon a pyre.
Fate becomes the folly
Tomorrow the unknown,
The brows of time are furrowed
Past spent, lost, or borrowed
Flowers forever bloom alone.
Rats, the last lords of ruin
Rule cruel shadows from the walls.
Twilight sighs at daylight's rise
All seems dark till darkness falls.

Dream, tell me
what have you heard
from the gossiping stars?
did they let my wishes
fall into the hands
of hummingbird nests?
did the quiet ocean blue
bring waves of things untrue?
Were you deceived by piano keys
lingering songs & eulogies?
Does the sun cleanse your lethargy
or are you like me?
Where it never reaches you in time
before everything fades to a quiet dark
tell me, Dream.

You go into a building
and speak to your God
I walk out into nature
and my Gods speak to me

So too flows the river
Impure, of sunken iron
Floating leaves on smooth
Tranquil surface of
Endless water

Smooth river stones,
Green droplets along tops
Of eager ripples
Surely knowing
In their babbling flowing
Where they shall eventually pool

Under gloomy skies,
I stand watching the raindrops,
Thinking about you.
Soulmate🌷
Deep Purple

I’ve bared my soul and I’ve shared
My struggles and with what I fight
I’ve shared with you my darkness
And I’ve shared with you my light

I’ve written things of silliness
And you’ve seen my romantic side
And when world tragedy strikes
My feelings I just can’t hide

I’ve even been political not really
Intending to favor a certain view
Some might even say that I’ve gone crazy
Needing drugs to subdue

I’ve been enlightened and encouraged
You all have written words that inspire
To all of you here on hello poetry
I’ve come to love and admire

I’ve read what you’ve written
From your reality to your fantasies
You’ve taken me inside your souls
And revealed your personalities

I’ve also read words of your darkness
One woman wrote about ****
And like me others writing of their
Pain trying in many ways to escape

Like a letter to death from
Someone I believe was dying
And I became overwhelmed
And I just began crying

Being humans unfortunately
It means that none of us are immortal
So I take this time to pray that each of
You can break free from your deep purple

On Hello Poetry—God Bless!!!
born in the artic snow
she chromed
her heart
in steel

flames could
not
touch that heart

always a half a step ahead
sure
a few stumbles
but never a fall

and moonlight is just
a heartache in disquise

till one day
leaning out a car window
a scar upon his cheek
and the luck of the draw

was the jack of hearts

and the queen of diamonds
had
never met
anyone
quite like

the jack

of hearts,

black-haired blue-eyed
her beauty inspired
stupid men
to commit foolish acts

and as he smiled
the queen of diamonds
thought she had

the jack of hearts,

blue sky shimmering
in her eyes

jack became
the brightness
of her day

and the jack of hearts
saw a flame
flickering in her eyes
that he had never seen
in any women's eyes
before ...

               act. 2

... a strange destiny
was unraveling
and one long poker hand
was over
and the snowflakes came
down like ashes
under the street light

and then
the jack of hearts
walked away

a pale spirit fleeing
a graveyard
into the wall of night

and the queen of diamonds
cried

the sea into sky

with eyes
like twilight
waiting

to eat away the day
