Raven
He writes poetry
But no one knows

He writes poetry
He writes about love
And loss

He writes about smiles
And frowns

He writes about sorrow
And forgotten towns

He writes about how lost he gets
Caught up in his own mind

He writes poetry to
And about others

But no one knows

Know one knows the depth of his soul
Because they all choose to see the exterior
And that exterior screams

Preppy
And preppy
Don't have souls

Or so they thought
Until the day he was consumed
By his own poetry

Sophia
The first time I saw the sun
I held her in my hand
and let her burn through my fingers.

My hands are still burned
and I can feel her light
shining in my blood
every day.

Oh, how it feels
to glow.

Who are we?

As we sit down to our dinners,
as we open our romance books,
people die.

We sip our water;
their guts spill open.
We study our notes;
their planes crash.

We live;
they die.
We breathe;
they suffocate.

We are testaments to chance,
to luck, to possibility.

We are not products of God.

We are blind goats trotting on our path
before we perish, suddenly,
and vanish into death.

My existence
 Nov 2018 Cole
Emma
I find comfort, in my sadness,
I feel safe, in my self deprecation.

My life, is spent thinking how i disappointed you.
My existence, isn't being taken seriously.

But I know my peace, will come,
if i ever find the courage, to achieve it.

Yue Wang Yitkbel
You’re not the unreachable stars
You’re not the almighty sun
You are every blade of grass
You are every deer in the forest
You are every ripple in the pond

But I
I am the restless moonchild
Roaming senselessly through
The starless sky

But I
I am the moon that wakes
Among slumbering hours
And sleeps through life

But I would rather be the dust
That buries your loneliness
But I would rather be the dews
That wash away your sorrow

Your gift for me is my love for my humility
Your happiness for me is my willingness
To be your eternal shadow and not just
The momentary sunshine

You’re not the sky high above all
You’re not the gale that takes all
You’re the dove I wish to caress
You’re the untouchable dandelion

And I
I am the dark clouds above all fleeing life
The inescapable starless night

And I
I am the gale wind that leaves nothing behind
That goes away silently
When there’s no hope left to be find

And I would rather be the catkins
That hold on to your dreams in flight
And I would rather be the honeybees
That take away your bitterness, despair and fright

Please show me how to love my humility
Please bring back my happiness, my willingness
To be your eternal shadow and not just
Momentary sunshine

For my love for you is not above all,
But within every breath of life.

Tall
Short
Society will judge you rich or poor
Fat
Skinny
Ugly
Beautiful
Society will label you in every form
Introvert
Extrovert
Whatever -vert they try to label you
They'll never truly know
You wouldn't allow being labeled
You stand out of any social norm they try to place you
Extrovert
Introvert
You laugh knowing you are neither
Beautiful
Ugly
Skinny
Fat
You couldn't believe those four words measure beauty
Short
Tall
How could any of these labels measure the depths of any human?

- Henessy J. Beltre
If you could describe yourself without using these labels, who would you be?
