The look on his face
I knew he was dead
It was filled
With blood of red
That made me sink
Into the thoughts of rose pink
Onto the brink of this darkened world
That left the dreams unfurled
And the storms had twirled
My brain had burned
With this darkened wretched world
The mind of this person had been "burned" or marked and changed forever. Witnessing the death of someone during war changed him forever. He will never be the same witnessing that blood of red. Realizing the world was plagued and his mind had "burned" along with the dark and wretched world.

His injured hand bleeds
As he became with greed
A simple change to him
For a large exchange
His mind is a stray
The greed is at play
The money weighs
His mind is broken
His words are spoken
Greed is an omen
That I like so very golden
The money changes his mind, takes away from him turns him into something hes wasn't. He is unable to change.

The light shines in the darkness
Although few can see it
It finds a way to shine through it
Those turn their back to it
Fear it will outstay
So they shove it away
Those that respect it
Have seen its array
Hoping it will sway that dreadful darkness away
In the poem the "light" is reffered to as a (person) and the "darkness" being (criminal activity)

Can they see the bloodshed that left them all dead
Wars that have given us all multiple tours
The enemies that were spying
As loved ones were crying
The bullets were flying
We tried fortifying
The war was horrifying
Our sanity was denying
This inhumanity was multiplying
Those scared wanted to flee
War just couldn't let us be
I wanted to end this killing spree
To stop the ashes forming around me
If only they can see how this war has changed me.
War can be a scary thing learning from my Grandpa I learned a lot about that. What it can do to people and how it changes them.

Watching the sea
Its all I can think
When she thought of me
"Forever" She said, or so we thought
We never thought it'd be the last time we fought
But now shes gone, gone forever.
If only we had more time together.
I wish we had another chance
As I remember her at first glance
Wishing we'd have our first dance.
