The worst ache went through
As mind tried to escape the body.
I stand still
Yet, exploding.
I’m losing battle
To myself.
to my pain

A broken light bulb.
A shattered dream.
A life wasted.
It's not what it seems.

A broken family.
Stressed and tired.
Chance after chance.
Will it ever expire?

Perpetual forgiveness.
Is it worth it?
The tears, the screams.
We are hypocrites.

Shaming you for breaking the bulb.
Yet, we cut ourselves trying to fix it.

To know her is not just knowing her
name, birthday and her favorites.

No, to know her you have to notice all the
little things that make her, her.

The way her fingers tap when her favorite
song is playing out loud.

The way her eyes always search for that
one particular person in the crowd.

The way she holds back a smile when
his name is mentioned.

Most of all, how she is when she is all by herself.

Nothing shows better how a person is,
than their behavior alone.
Then she is a hundred percent herself,
and that, my love, is the girl you want to know.

You go snake
Spit your ***** venom
All over the room
Staged performance
With puppets
You aren’t yet tired
Playing
So much effort to destroy
The ground I send on
Seeking my exposed vulnerabilities
With your cold eyes
Sore for misery
Forgive me snake
I have a yawn and a laugh
To give but not to share
My face perfectly relaxed
As I imagine
Your anihilation.

i've tried to escape you,
but you keep coming back.
tormenting me,
playing your little games.

i just want a taste
of real love,
of who you really are.

you hide in the dark,
even in the light.

i don't want this fake love,
i want true, imperfect love.
you can't give me that.

Red river run, down my hips
erode away my pain in a false sense of bliss
roaring river groans, silent to all but me
Red river runs, red drops let free
Blue bird sings as my only messenger
But small blue bird can't change the flow, no
Red river flows, I watch the river's reach
twist and turn, grow and grow
