Fear had something to say.
And he wanted to say it now.
So I paused and told him,
“Go on.”

He said,
“I know I’m weighing heavy on your chest;
I see sometimes it’s hard for you to breathe.”
“You know I can’t leave you alone;
So I at least want to give you this tip.”

“Breathe...”
“And work.”
“Be steady.
Don’t feel like you have to do too much at once.”

“Relax.
Let your chest be unburdened and unbothered.”
“Let it go.”
“And try to regain control.”

“You’re doing just fine.
Doing just great.
I know a few mistakes you’ve made
but you can get back on track and get it made. ”

“Try.
You can try again.
You might make it;
And if not, try again.”

“Get your work out there
And let it be seen.
Try and do that
And get back to me”

And I looked back at Fear
And told him “Sure.”
Turned my back on him
And began my work.
And if he speaks to you, do listen.

Gently, she goes
as soft as a fawn
opens the window
and waits for the dawn
fireflies glow
wind caresses her face
as she sheds all the shadows
not leaving a trace
She dons velvet darkness
wrapped in its cloak
releases all poisons,
                 sylphlike,
             in smoke
She is preparing for battle
in her own, quiet way
She only wants wholeness
as she breaks through the gray
For soon she will weave
prismatic wonders of spells
her own inner aurora
lighting heaven from hell
For suffered she has
and it's time to forgive
unlock self-made prisons
and let herself live
and now as sunrise approaches
stars still in sight
she turns the skeleton key
and glides
into
             flight

I know love is real
For I have held hands with the angels
And tasted what is evil
For I have touched the colors of the unseen.
And drowned in the darkest of hours
How beautiful?
This conundrum.
For One can not exist without the other.
Almost like a love between two souls
As one can not exist without the other
How beautifully ironic
This thing they call love
Steeples of flesh in my nightdress
Unleashed wanderlust stirring up my sheets
Exhaling swirls of poetry
As the fire of you dips into my throat

Feed off our fraudulence. Our ethereal entity. Help keep the corrupt at shore. Tell me how love will find her way! In times of our adverse adventures. When our bodies lie limp in the sand... As baleful barbarians take to attack. I will be there... just look. Hidden beyond your shadows. Yet I'm still there And when my troubled winds knock me down.. I'll seek comfort in you.

You.

my body is over flooding with heat,
from the temples to my fingertips,
as i lay, alone, on a damp sheet that's only cold.

my hands graze over the lips that once kissed your cheek,
to wipe away the water and forbid the taste,
when it sinks into the cracks it meets.

my skin, it's begging, a touch, a sign from you.

a simple clue can fix everything. right?
you think we aren't fixable?
is that why my fingers ache?
my neck wanting to break?
the prints that so desperately shake?
this heart is mourning for the part of you it once danced to.
