Me
I once was
in a hospital for depressed people
and I have never seen a place where roles
were switched
in such a paradoxal way.
Also the doc's final statement to me was: Well we think something must have just really made you insecure. Next time that happens, just do anything to distract yourself - clean the windows if necessary, just anything really!
This was such a symbolical statement. I think the doctors were much more scared inside than I was. I just stirred them up.
Don't ever hand over your own healing powers. You always have them.

Am I suicidal
if I want to hug
the sun
cause I love her
so much?

If drugs were the answer what was the problem?
gun in your hands
was fully loaded
you aimed it at my head
pull the trigger I said
i know you will
you fired the gun but
it was my heart you shot instead

I think of you today.

that i’m feeling so alone

i really need to sleep
so please let me back in
so we can lay together
and whisper our apologies
i’m sorry

If eyes are the window to the soul
It's no wonder why mine are blue
119
Everyday
The same
There's no way
these things could change
The pain of today
rolled from yesterday
and the big way
they say life changes
is just another excuse
for saddened people

to survive

I'm a Texas boy
Born and raised
In the greatest and the proudest
Of the United States
Grew up in the shadows
Of them loblolly pines
This oil boom town
Sweet home o' mine

But I left it behind
To see the world
Traveled the globe
Just me and my girl
Meeting new people
Trying new things
Embracing and facing
Whatever life brings

But no matter where I've been
'cross God's green earth
My blood's kept me rooted
To my place of birth
And if you ain't from 'round here
Maybe you don't understand
You can take the man outta Texas
Can't take Texas outta the man
