I have this vision
of you in my mind

But through your words
I found the human
lurking inside

I can tell by your responses
there’s not much going on

Are you listening?
Or
Just trying to get by?

Once in a blue moon
I meet plenty like you
only for it to become
all too human
way too soon

I watch
As she
Descends

Her light reaching out
Trying to hold on
Till the very end

But as I watch
I know
I’m not alone

In my peripheral
There is a man
Looking out
Sitting on stones

Do I confess
To the night

Love so cold
I looked for
Warmth in you

Whisper to the stars
Of this life

From
Despair
Renewed

Playing
Under the cloak
Of daylight

I sank one day
Deep into
A tree
Becoming
One with
The nurtured
Roots
I wished to be

Into gently placed
Granite eyes
I waited for my heart to beat
But got nothing back in surprise

I lay here in my own arms
Cradled by an absence
Petrified in obsidian

And
there it crawled across my eyes
eight legs and all
I still couldn’t see why
It dare to make this climb
yet there it burrowed
In the back of my mind
catching your lies like flies  
I’ve never been more
fond of the web

There’s a shadow

Poking at my thigh

Trying to take attention

Away

From my mind

Not to reality

But somewhere unrefined

And Opposite of divine

Can you hear it call out

Sideways in time

Three different perspectives

Of the same scene

And

Their all upside down nines

I have spoken to diamonds

They have taught me their art

I’ve drank from their frequency

And to their world
I became a part

Sharing a thousand words
With
a thousand different jewels
And
They all spoke to me
Of your heart

Truly Adamas in nature

They say your gleam
Can be seen
From within dreams
Left ajar

I wandered with you
In these scenes

Becoming

Your falling star

Visits in my sleep

While you gazed upon me from afar

The sun dare impede
So I banished it
For you

Underneath
stars
I saw
Words fracture
And
Fuse

As

You crushed
a galaxy
In your hands
Just
So it may
Be born
A new

Released
from her inner keep
There
my night muse

Refining creation
To her hearts tune

You came to me
with waves upon waves of emotions

yet I couldn’t see through your sea

You told me to dive deeper
and
I might find something more than just me

But is that not the nature
of the ego-naut
to explore indefinitely

making a home
in a place
where a home shouldn’t be

Deeper down know I see
All is
We

I started writing
this poem for you
And
made it all about me

Unbecoming
just so I may
be
once again

I reach my hand
upwards
as if
I were to ascend

No wings
to break

So

No wings
to mend

While I soar
threw open
sky

I wonder
how many
ways
one can
open their eyes

I dragged

Duality down

A delicate

Deception

 

( lost I found myself dazed)

 

Face to face

With my youth

I was caught staring

At my misguided directions

 

(Surly to succumb to the maze)

 

For what these

Dreams demand

Go deeper

Than blood

Calf or correction

 

( to get out I had to be unmade)

 

Saying goodbye

To apart of my self

To gain

An ever evolving perception

Once in a dream
I inhaled the night sky
Becoming one
With its hue

I replaced every star
With a sigh

All except for the ones
That reminded me of you

I then kept
Just enough of the sun
To torture it till Jun

Planting six seeds
For my lover

And grew them under
The pink moon

Dying grass beneath my feet

Now ever softer the blades

 

The day begins to crumble

As I start to hear

Whispers over my shoulder

From beyond the grave

 

They tell me of a goddess

Grown in the meadow

Once somber a slave

 

So I became their conduit

Blindly pulling these words

From the haze

 

Selling off a part of my soul

Just to give her my name

Raised by Gods

That can’t sing

 

Her love became

The prayers

That they would read

And

Bestowed with the blessings

Her smile would seed

 

Awakened my mind

Beyond gold and green

 

Where

I found my self bound

 

To the one

Who found me

To comprehend a Goddess

Is like meeting a love

You’ve never known.

 

To shy away from its light,

Because it is Blinding?

Or too beautiful to behold?

If life is the reality

That you dream

 

Then dare I say 

 

That I’ve met you before

Somewhere in-between

The in-between

 

Where connections were made

But left unseen

 

A couple souls

That slipped through the seams

Of time

Like sand in the hands

Of greed

 

Casted into the fire

I saw her dance

With the life of spring

Turned to glass

The spirits called her

Persephone

Dare I manifest

all that I’m

not meant

to hold

 

There laid upon

my chest

a mirror

made of gold

 

One in which

reflects her loving

shine

 

But

 

Even if I loved her

to let her go


I'm sure even a mirror

made of gold

can fracture with time

If I were to tell you
I saw you in a dream

Would you let me go on
about how I saw
your soul gleam

Like a million fires
seen across sea

Now

My eyes can carry me
to your wonders

But

At your shore
I could never be

So

If I were to tell you
I saw you in a dream

could you tell me why
I awoke with a love

That was never meant
for me

Red flags disguised
amongst the roses

I can’t lie
i was distracted
by
her many poses

Quick

water down the fantasy  
can anyone
being some hoses

For

My dry eyes

had me thinking
“This is great”

Until I met her gaze
and realized
like the rest
she’s the same

To one day
meet
a kinder love

So I won’t
have to
feel
the loneliest
in my pain

I walk along
the stoney roads
where
pebbles seem to scatter
as I step

My lift
cloud be
a complement
to her wings

But it is the earth
to whom I’m kept

As she has me
looking up
just to find myself
looking down

Chained to the roots
of all the grounds
In which I wish to fly

It’s funny…

On this level
i can see
just where
all those pebbles hide

Once I lay with her

dare I never wake again


So I don’t have to go out

and start the search again

I’ve got the sun and the stars

To orbit around my feet


In  their shine

The  many answers that I seek


So I ask you god

Though I dare to speak


Do I fulfill the prophecy

That you wrote for me


The one that  you did  write for me?


I’ve opened my mind

Yet sometimes I still fail to see


What’s right in front of me


So


As I go forth

I still give thanks to her love

Despite the burning sands


And


Scorching heat



Throw me your toughest stones

And I’ll scrap with broken hands


But


Won’t be beat


Even if I have to crawl to the end

On my teeth


For


If I have  known a faith to crumble

Then surly I can meet a faith that stands



At her alter

Now

Just to deeper understand



Falling forward Into the trust

Of

Unknown hands

O’sweet babe

sister’d to her  

many forms


In each shape

she had found

a new way

to change my world


But held her love

In a shapeless void

I’ve laid in the fields of our dying mother


watching as our gods wither into an  epoch  


masses set out to remember


but in time when stripped of their flesh


all will be forgotten


as they are  exposed to their mortality

Over the years

How love defined

Refined

By times

Lonely eyes

As mine

Are forced

To lie  

Within sight

Of my hearts

many faces

When I close my eyes

And feel the pull

The roads that find me  

Take me every which way

One night I stumbled into her temple

And there at her alter

the Venus flower lay

I am not one for gods

But just this one time

I couldn’t help but pray

She blessed me with a glimpse of her beauty

And it has scarred me to this day

What the crow’s can salvage

From the subconscious mind,

Secrets carried  in-between
Feathers;

The many truths I’ve left to die.

I hear her sweeter whispers

She calls to me in threes

To tempt my soul to flicker

a dying fire aided by the breeze

I know not which way  to answer

As she is now  knocking on the trees

Why is it that you visit me

O lady  of my dreams

When drinking
by the fire

I can feel myself  
come undone

My nights have
never been colder

And I’m unnerved  
by what’s to come

So I focus on flames
to hide my endless
gaze

All the ghost’s  
Inside my head

Dare I say they
call my name

Smoking  
In the wind

If she
comes my way

I love her
cold embrace

I fear not
the flame

For all that
turns and coils

In a mind so young
yet tamed

All the thoughts That
linger in the background

If only she could
carry them away

The bright flamed dame

Between light and dark
She walks the gray
A place where good and evil
Can share no blame

For she knows
The night is just a complement
To the day

And without the duality
A reality you can not
Maintain

At night
The moon whispers
To my mind
Sending it off to
Find its fate

While I lay empty
Waiting at the gate

The sun impedes
Wiping away
A dreamers
Escape
