Rock.
A brute force
Pounding, crushing
Driven by fear
With indubitable
Tangibility.
What can defeat
This formidable foe?
None other than

Paper.
A soft leaf
Whispers, gestures
Sweet nothings
Poignant nothings
In your ear
So close, they sound
Like a yell.
But those, alas,
Are drowned out
By our friend

Scissors.
Cuspate slats
Slicing, cleaving
Everything
In their path.
There is no
Discrimination;
Nothing
Is of importance
To the scissors.
Unless
They are bent
By the impetuous

Rock.
Rock beats scissors, which beats paper, which beats rock.
Force wakes the ignorant, who **** our words, which speak louder than force.
THAT civilisation may not sink,
Its great battle lost,
Quiet the dog, tether the pony
To a distant post;
Our master Caesar is in the tent
Where the maps ate spread,
His eyes fixed upon nothing,
A hand under his head.

That the ******* towers be burnt
And men recall that face,
Move most gently if move you must
In this lonely place.
She thinks, part woman, three parts a child,
That nobody looks; her feet
Practise a tinker shuffle
Picked up on a street.
1
That girls at puberty may find
The first Adam in their thought,
Shut the door of the Pope's chapel,
Keep those children out.
There on that scaffolding reclines
Michael Angelo.
With no more sound than the mice make
His hand moves to and fro.
Like a long-leggedfly upon the stream
His mind moves upon silence.
Injecting poetry and high on the verse in me,
I am ****** on the edge of free
and I want to jump.

Damaged
I was warming up tea and I put it in for a little too much time.
But it was too long so my tea boiled over and made a mess.
But that didn't mean I could never make tea again.
It just meant I had to wipe it up better and be more careful next time.
This reminded me of life.
That sometimes things bombard your life and everything happens at once.
And what happens?
You break
You boil over
But no matter what it is, not matter how much it hurts.
You just have to pick yourself up.
Brush off your hands.
And smile a little longer.
he looks at me
with those slate grey eyes.
he mocks at me
with that snarl tooth lisped grin.

he looks at me and his lips dont move,
but his eyes speak with mountains.

they say she slipped through my fingers
like water through the rocks in the river.
they say the longer i ran to keep her,
the further she ran to me.
they say the more you tried to save her,
the tighter your fingers bruised her pale skin
and gripped her throat
until her lungs were almost dead.

they said she did it voluntarily.
i know better.

you did not release your grip even when i let go.
i know better.
I'm sorry for the pain I've caused
And the tears you've cried
With my name tattooed
In the streaks they left
Upon your pale skin
Every sob engraved into a calloused heart
That knows nothing but
Malevolence and loneliness
I'm sorry...
