I saw you smile at someone else

The same way you smiled at me-

When you locked your fingers into mine

And broke the silence with “I love you”-

I guess I should just try and be happy, as we are no more

That you’ve found someone else to give away

Your “I love you’ too

We are the ones who are hard to understand
We'll be the last ones in the movie theatre
because the ending scene made us cry
We'll stop to smell the roses
because they deserve to be appreciated
We are the ones who will take the time
to get to know what keeps you up at night
We are the ones who will imagine
an entire future of adventures
with the people who show us love

We are the ones who will love you more
than we love ourselves sometimes
We will give you our strongest parts
in hopes that we can make things better
We desire to see you become the best you
to make sure that you always feel our love
We crave affection and appreciation
We give a piece of ourselves away every day
sometimes to people who don't deserve it
Our love is easy to take advantage of
and sometimes we don't get back
the love that we give away

When we hurt, we crumble and fall apart
We constantly have to put ourselves back together
We are more fragile than we like to give off
We carry our emotions on our sleeves
Our flaws have the ability to consume us
We aren't afraid to give you the world
but we are afraid to feel unloved
We want you to see what we see
We want you to understand where we're coming from

We are good people with good intentions
We are stronger than we look like
Not everyone can feel the way we feel
We feel too much, too often
We are not hard to love
We are something not everyone knows how to love
But you need to remember that
your worth does not change just because
no one is there to appreciate you, to remind you

You are not any less lovable
You are the most lovable person in the world
You are a light that the world needs
Your kindness is not your weakness
You do not need to change for anyone's acceptance
You do not need to stop giving love
just because you don't get any back
Your heart is the best thing about you

And one day when you least expect it
someone will notice you from across the room
and know exactly how to love you
They will think all of these things are beautiful
They will deserve the love you can give
They will fill the empty space in your heart
But for now, don't stop feeling
We are the ones who feel everything so deeply
We are the ones who can't give up because
We are the ones who will teach the world
how to love
We are exactly who we are supposed to be
my heart is rusting over. i can't control it
guess that happens when secrets are told.
they are like ice in the pavement
they only seek to estrange us.
(you're not depressed if you make people laugh)
friends turned into total strangers;
i used to lean on you,
now i'm barely sure if i can spell your name.
i shouldn't have played that game.
(it gets you high but it can never last)

and in the end
the love you make
reciprocates the love
you take

Polar
I hear the rhythmic clapping
And feel the pounding of feet on the ground
As dust swirls and dances around
While I sit facing the sun
In all her divine beauty.
Encased in the wood of the red gum tree,
I am at peace.
Burnum carves my totem outside
Surrounded by holy men,
Loved ones and ancestors.
This is my signifier and protection.
I am Miki the moon
Recently returned to my tribe
Heeding the call of the spirits.
My people mourn deeply
But know I will come again
To be at one with them,
First I must commune with the great creator
Rainbow spirit of the sky
For now is the time for dreaming.
Thank you everyone for the likes/ loves and comments, you made my day special!! :0)
The other day was a lonely sigh
My tongue, caught, between your teeth
lips were chapped and mouths were dry
The first time that I was underneath

Of course it all meant nothing
It was not something that mattered
Never mind that I can’t help blushing
When you asked me I was only flattered

But days weeks and months more
My body yearns for your hands to explore
Just a look, we both know what’s in store
On the couch, on the bed, on the floor

Your touch is an addictive ******
Whisper again how my skin is like butter
Your sigh is passionately delicate
The lovely truth I keep below a mutter

But we are friends and will remain
Though we occasionally miss each other
I will always wait with such disdain
But commitment is not recovered

You transformed my darkness
Into light

You taught me
The meaning of life

You accepted me
When I could not

You listened
When I forgot
I dreamt about something last night
It woke me up
I was filled with fear
I embraced myself to stay calm
But tears just fell

It's really scary
Living in this world without you
It's really scary
Walking down the roads without you

No shining diamonds,
No amount of money,
Can wash my tears away,
Only you

In your vast night sky,
I want to be your brightest star
In your colorful garden,
I want to be your sweetest flower.

Say my name
Say my name
After you'll say mine
I'll say yours too
Yes, I write bad poems when I'm sad
I prefer silence to comfort me
Yes, I write bad poems when I'm mad
I prefer my own words to scream it out

Yes, I write bad poems when I'm happy
I prefer solitary than fake company
Yes, I write bad poems when I'm excited
I prefer obscure of the thrill

Yes, I write bad poems when I'm stressed
I prefer words to heal me than pills
Yes, I write bad poems when I'm tired
I prefer sleepless night than a bad dream

Yes, I write bad poems when I'm depressed
I prefer assurance than un-followed advises
Yes, I write bad poems
I prefer silence in this world that will never stop talking

zahra
when people are in love
they often say
they simply fell
tripped over their own two feet
face forward
and into the arms of their beloved

i did more than simply fall
onto the ground of your love

you, for me
were an ocean
and i dived
headfirst
roughly
harshly
almost painfully
into the waters of “you”

i knew i could not swim
but i did so anyway
i was drowning
entangled in you
surrounded by this being of “you”
engulfed in this feeling of “you”

and i did not know what came over me
but i let myself drown
i did not try to swim back up
because if i went back to land,
releasing myself from your grasp
that would mean losing the feeling of “you”

and after
submerging into the depth
the love
the passion
of “you”

how could i ever leave?

the moment a poet
falls in love with you

is the moment
you live
