Coffee, a book, a blanket, me and you,
would be all we need to see us through,
those long, hard weeks at work or school,
just a cup. a read, a cozy cuddle or two,
would be just what we'd enjoy, me and you:
So, let's grab a book a blanket, then pour a few,
snuggle up together, read and be lovey-dove, too!

Author's Note: For some reason this poem, though cute,
kinda hangs a tad too high in the "cheese aisle" for me
...at any rate, I hope you enjoy, if not, stick it on a Ritz....

you could have told me
you could have told me then
you didn’t have to hide it
why..
why did you hide it
you knew i felt the same
you knew i wanted you to feel the same
did you?
i tried to feel for other people
and i did
but only for a split second
before my mind would make me think of you
you were the air i breathed
you were what kept me alive
until you cut me off
why..
why did you cut me off

you could have told me
you knew you could have told me
so why did you hide it
little she did know,
her bruises had been
the fertile soil of
wildly beautiful flowers
and, her tears had watered them
to not just be a season bloom,
but a forever spring.

Colm
Your clouds need not seek
Just as shadows need not flee
From the falling rain
All that a running soul needs
Is to in acceptance be
A tanka for those who are tired and in need of rest. To reassure the weary that their time of rejuvenation will come. Be it tomorrow or in eternity. Free.

God bless.
