A freezing cold temper
And a heart made of gold
Born with the winter
Her mask is quite bold

A silent soft slumber
And an emerald soul
Born with the summer
Her mask has a hole

An ego does splinter
With words that are bold
Blade right down the center
And hands become cold

Of golden and umber
And flowers of coal
The somber newcomer
Plays a princess' role

The dance of the masquerade
Of flowers both living and dead
Cold hands of she who has prayed
Take up joyous dance instead

Everything is up in flames
only one will take the blame
Everything is up in flames
so lets save everyone

Everything is up in flames
brother and sister are the same
Everything is up in flames
so let her fingers point

Everything is up in flames
purple child gone insane
Everything is up in flames
so let her run away

Tears freeze as they fall to the ground
Waiting for the time
Footsteps fall still without a sound
Soft bells without a chime
The snow is colder than the grave
Hair frozen to the skin
Flowers crumbling wished to save
The lost from unknown sin
Autumn was cold, winter colder
Poems upon the tomb
Time and sorrow growing older
The wish within the doom

When you look at the light, what do you see?
That light that she holds in her hand
A glimmer of hope or a desperate plea?
Or something you don't understand
When she holds out her light, what does she feel?
Those eyes say all that is known
What causes her to pray and kneel?
Is she really just what she's shown
She held out her light for all who are blind
The light she held in her hand
In all of truth she was just being kind
To a memory lost to sand
She held out her light and felt bittersweet
Her eyes with exhaustion shone
Knelt for memory of love incomplete
And carried her sorrows alone

She says that she's one made for trivial things
Her fingers of marble bearing black diamond rings
While holding my hand she comforts me so
Her fingers as cold as the ice and the snow
I cannot ask her the words I do not speak
But I wish to know a secret she keeps
We cannot talk long for my lungs can still breathe
And so to her word my blade I do sheathe
She says that it's not the night for such an end
Her silver set eyes well with tears that can mend

She stands in a field of dark flowers
Wearing summer’s crown
Her words are a symbol of power
But her face is sealed in a frown

Her dearest reflected in snowfall
A lady of winter’s despair
Her voice mumbles on in a drawl
Behind curtains of sepia hair

The ladies, two sides of a coin
Heaven and hell turned to one
Love that only fate will rejoin
The eclipse of the moon and the sun
