She couldnt keep herself together
She could only sit and think
He said "a penny for your thoughts
I bet it will make you feel better"

She doesnt believe that but still she reveals
She opens her mouth and it all spills
On and on she goes, never ending
If he was serious she would have a lot of money
She wasnt really wealthy

She always pondered on success
she never wanted a life of stress
just wanted to sit pretty in a dress
feel an eternal bliss

She never wanted problems
She doesnt know how to solve them
To get rid of them she'd pay a heavy ransom
She just felt like it was killing her
Like she was forced to take in a venom

She always questioned love
and what there was above
the flight paths of doves
Why she sweats in gloves

Shes curious
but he was right shes no more furious
she thanks him wanting to give him a hug
there was no one there
only her and a teddy bear

One knee on the ground
with my head facing down
A tear fell
My heart now in two
my smile now a frown

went out to the world hoping for peace
i only asked for a mind at ease
if it meant i had to let go of everything i keep in my bag
then fine i will wave the white flag

but when i do it theres pins in my chest
the sting keeps me from having any rest
its like my heart is relluctant
do i like this life of peace? it feels redundant

went to a doctor so he could give me some meds
he said whats wrong i said it might be my head
my heart was not at peace that my mind was at rest
doctor tell me whats wrong you know best

he gave me knowledge
that i realised i never acknowledged
thought ive never been in love before
but whole time i was in love with war

His warm heart Her cold hands
His gentle smile Her lifeless eyes
He speaks on her beauty
She only sees her flaws
She speaks on his confidence
He couldnt agree more
He senses somethings wrong
She says shes fine
She knows that shes struggling
He knows that she lies
She writes down her sorrows
On his knees he cries
She left him her soul and
He never said goodbye
