I don't write poetry for myself. Nor do I write it for a special someone. I only write because I believe I need to be great at everything, so don't expect my poems to be truthful.

Connect the Dots
Long long ago I saw, experienced, I lived Where trees grow Long, long ago I went, I ran, I swam Searching high and low Long, Long ago I laughed, I wept, I loved When the time was slow Long long ago —I know— It was long long ago

Childhood
God is like a wish factory Manufacturing... Dolls and trains for the young ones         Blankets and food for the poor                    Glasses and hearing aids for the impaired                             and hope for all of us But like trains, blankets and glasses           God is man-made                 Reflection of our idealistic nature                            A goal as fictitious as a wish factory

Wish Factory
Shave your head Paint your face purple And wear a zebra jumpsuit Eat with both hands Wink at passing strangers And live in a secluded cabin Join the circle of oddies Tainted by social norm

Oddies
Like a camel, we persist and endure Underneath the blazing desert sun Seeking our oasis in the distance A noteworthy medicine Finer than caffeine and alcohol The purest form of life

Trends (10w)
At a formal dinner party with etiquette and laughter A half empty glass of champagne is in your hand I listen to your slurred speech and deep laughter And look at the others who genuinely display interest While nodding my head with a fake smile I make eye contact occasionally, a simple formality As you talk about yourself and your experiences I begin to wonder... Wouldn't it be more interesting for me to talk about myself?

People Talk
Hand-me-down novels with bent corners Piles of clothes and towels scattered on the carpet Food stains on flowery bed sheets and blue pillowcases A broken lamp on a single night stand Gray suitcases filled with evening gowns Closet mirror covered with fingerprints Charging electronics underneath the bed Popcorn ceiling and smooth beige walls No clocks, no monsters, no tooth fairies, and no memories It's rather....practical

Clocks witness it all... From the time you were bullied To the painstaking times of your depression All these sensitive moments are in the hands of a clock

Hands of a Clock
I'm skin and bones real and tangible or perhaps a prolonged reverie
