You are my citronella
When my thoughts hover like mosquitoes salivating for a bite
You say, “not today ladies”
You are my natural remedy for a challenging foe...
Myself
Keep smelling sweet with a hint of citrus
My mind depends on it

Chamomile and roses
Their warmth circles the frosty air
My nose is tickled with comfort and grace
You words steeped in love
Could life be this simple?

Backwards; maybe
I'm not upside down
I'm looking for a new perspective
When you are down; you're really up
So perk up; all is well

You have asked me to love you like you love me
How can one love anything without the "love of I"
I is for me and me only
You so loved the world so I could love myself
The winds of change scatter the feathers of my heart
Spinning
Twisting
Flipping
Your outstretched hand catches them
Finger tickled by their softness
Your touch warms them
May I love as you love

Love handed to me on a silver platter
Indecision
Indecision
So much indecision
My head and my heart are plagued with internal tug of war
Feet slip
Face down in the mud
Love lingers like the smokey taste of last nights cigar
One never forgets the best

They say talk is cheap
I say its priceless
Supply and demand
Its cheap when its abundant
But oh so priceless when the market is dry
Where is my bailout?

My lips drip with your kisses
My heart stammers
My veins bleed your love
Warm
Comforting
You course through me
Wild and strong
Where did I go wrong?
I’ve lost myself; I’ve lost you

Hope I haven't over-drafted

Your eyes meet mine
They say mine
Like an anchor burying into my cornea
A window to your heart
You’re mine; I’m yours
But
Mine means
Rewriting
Undoing
Replacing
Replanting
**** I wish the eyes could talk

The road is long
The mountain’s grade is steep and relentless
Hairpin turns
Collapsed Bridges
Sheer cliffs to one side
Wind at our backs; up and up we go
Fog
Nothing compares to fog
Fog appears from nowhere
It’s damp, slow, creep engulfs your sense of comfort
Disoriented
Confused
Lost
When will my fog pass; our mountain is beautiful; our journey an adventure
Don’t let the fog take you from me
But don’t let the fog corrupt
If you choose left; I choose left
The tip of the mountain cuts the thick, damp and moist blanket
Press on; the winds have shifted; your gut pangs with direction
Walk; don’t run
I’m on your tail; guide us
Our compass is oriented
Fog’s merciless lingering
Your wit cuts it like a knife
One foot in front of the other
Together we trod
Together we tread
