Truth (in 10-words)
Standing close to the edge At the dawn of their birth They migrate from afar Through warmer seasons Carried by soft winds Aroma from flowers Leads to their nests Perched high atop Where hatchlings await New foliage emerges Nearby young lovers Search for soul mates Neap tides ebb and flow Spring season brings change © 2004 - Present HelloPoetry.com - All Rights Reserved

For a Better Tomorrow..(A Tritina)
The sound of death approaching near Call to the battlefield was clear To uphold, honor, and obey No turning back, he chose to stay For loved ones and those that were dear Swallowing his pride, wiping tears No pain did he feel and no fear A soulful song, for him, they play The sound of death approaching near From above, an angel sings cheer Saint Michael himself doth appear Victory rings true, how brave were they There is no night, no more the day Their cry is all that he can hear The sound of death approaching near © 2004 - Pres Hello-Poetry.com - All Rights Reserved

The Battlefield (Rondeau)
The clock strikes an hour As pendulum swings to and fro Measuring beats in each second Machinery sensing vibrations The towering clock stands tall High and mighty above us all Announcing time to go The chiming bells doth ring an echo Sounding an alarm Stopping the wanderings Of a mind that senses the gap Marking one's existence In the space-time fabric The duration that elapsed Returning to the present Knowledge of the current Time that is displayed By two hands splayed Occupied in a corner Defining its place Carving out its own space For the lone individual self © 2004 - Pres  Hello-Poetry.com - All Rights Reserved

About A Clock
Drenched in the rain that won't cleanse my soul, Within the heart, restless passions arise. The storm subsides; what's left is a hole. Give up everything, for you, is it wise?   A world that laughs and scoffs at poetry,   Accusing love's magic as wizardry.   Written in stars, by Gods, is destiny.   Purified by our youth and chastity,   In my own shelter I find belonging.   A true heart's desire I could not sense.   Sweet and pure like a song to be singing,   Feelings I hide are thoughts I have misplaced.   Once again, lost memories come to life,   Tormented to be in my grief and strife. © 2004 - Pres Hello-Poetry.com - All Rights Reserved

The Cruel Fate (A Shakespearean Sonnet)
This circle must complete With each of Earth's orbit It's a cycle that will repeat But when global warming Triggers mass glacial melting From ozone layer's depleting Where oil spills can ruin an ocean Being used as garbage collection Causing every ecosystem's suffocation More landfills from over-consumption Still, we opt for deforestation Resulting in fresh water reduction In disrupting her delicate cycle, Can we understand that excess is not natural? Wounded, it takes her longer to heal! Like our mother, she has borne us all Give her love! Must we watch her fall? Open your eyes! Let's heed her call! © 2004 - Pres Hello-Poetry.com - All Rights Reserved

Prayer For The Age of Anthropocene
As grass withers from the scorching heat So brightly burns the summer sun My sunburnt skin dampens with sweat As grass withers from the scorching heat Cool ice cream can make a nice treat Remembering summer as being fun As grass withers from the scorching heat So brightly burns the summer sun © 2004 - Pres Hello-Poetry.com - All Rights Reserved
