A gentle kiss on your lips, a feeling never felt before

Her kiss was more than anticipated, this is where our love originated
We never looked back and everyone became aware
Never knew something could become so obvious
Through a lingering stare
Our attraction has become, impossible to resist

The danger was obvious, there would be no forgiveness
Love sees nothing, but feels all
No one could have predicted what would happen
With just one phone call
Feelings begin without warning
Taking its toll, on a heart until now
Had maintained all control
The years of loneliness, had become too much
She had forgotten the need, to feel that touch
She had made it this far and adapted to the worse
Come to grips with her life, that she called a curse
Closed off and concealed, never to be revealed

She's strong as can be, only the strong side you see
When you see her around, maybe shopping in town
She'll give you a smile, maybe wave once in awhile
How blessed you will be, when you're in her company
The care that she shows, the feeling that grows
Down deep in your soul, till you lose all control
But what you don't see, is how hard it can be
To fight back all those tears
And the strength that she needed
To make it through all these years
But she made it through,
Even as the pain grew, as the days ensued
Even though she didn't want to, she puts on that smile
Looking at her you wouldn't know, she's not gonna disclose
How she really feels in her heart, she needs a fresh start
Now out of the blue, as if on cue, fate walks in
Not knowing what has occurred
Without saying a word, she makes her way towards fate
Now looking in his eyes, it came as a surprise
