through your eyes I want to see
vivid ambers and saturated ceruleans dance
fusing with each other
creating your earthly coppers
instead of my velvety violets

fear holds you captive, immured in darkness
rejection pokes at your timid soul
neglect watches with voyeuristic pleasure
and your torture continues until...
hope finds you
happiness arrives with salvation
and love embraces you with a warming light
they are here, to keep your torment at bay

She cries—
melancholy skies draped in luscious grey
her iridescent tears falling in tempo
parched soil, drowning in generosity
leaving a damp aroma to suffuse through brisk gales
—for us

swim
in the ocean that is your mind
climb
the mountains you carry on your shoulders
soar
over the crests of your stature
peer
into your heart endowed with love and pain
cherish
you

the snake—
alluring notions held in its eyes
tongue twitching with noxious desire
arrogance held in a sauntered slink
vile venom dousing budding souls
—lends itself to this nature

He barks in the distance
Howling at the moon from jagged cliffs
Anxiously waiting for her response,
Dolefully widened eyes grasp for her
With a warmth withstanding gelid air
Her symphonious ocean drowns his cries
She illuminates her inconsolable sea
Her waves absorbing his mournful song
She reaches for him from high heavens
How terribly she yearns to be with him, just once more

Beauty is the ocean of copper coils that washes over your mindfulness
Your earth-dawned eyes flutter with every thought and notice everything
Tears dance and fall in tempo as you sink with each emotion in their entirety
Hues of mismatched tones blend together and bless you with an illuminating radiance
Rosy petals settle with sweetness upon your face, bearing love with every kiss
Your shoulders hold the weight of so many worlds
Your chest pains from anger and anguish
And yet your heart beats powerfully in darkness,
with wounds adorning its core, your grip on hope never loosens
I will always love you for that

Choosing yourself
before someone else... is hard
a tug-of-war on heartstrings
between a love,
and a life that nurtures it
Choose yourself for them
and if they love you,
they will wait for you
Just as you'll return
after working towards them

puckered petals
laying with your leaves perched
begging to be sun-kissed

My anxiety eats at me. It slowly devours me from the inside out, and it hurts. It runs through my veins, makes my heart race, and teases me with mild subsides. Deep breaths stoke its fire and clear minds fade rapidly to constant thoughts. If it's not one thing, it's another, and another, and another. I just want freedom from the feeling of ants marching through my mind, picking at my last piece of sanity like meat off of discarded bones.
