Wouldn't it be nice. If we died side by side. Holding hands, Your head next to mine. Our ribs crushed together, From a truck that hit us on the side. Wouldn't it be nice If they cremated us side by side In the funeral pyre we built With the heat of our own love. Burning in a pit, 'Til we're charred and black inside. Wouldn't it be nice If they threw our ashes to the sea Off a cliff, Floating to the breeze. Without a care, Just like you and me. Wouldn't it be nice, If our souls drifted together. Towards oblivion, Hand-in-hand we'll leap. Let's gravitate from this world, Alone at last, just you and me.

Wouldn't it?

i turn up the volume on my ipod, every time you're around, so you can faintly hear the mixtape i made for you that you'll never hear out loud.

the ocean pulls me closer and drowns me in its currents much like how you pulled me in with your gaze and your words and I drowned with every glimpse and with every syllable.

Have you ever thought that we are the closest thing to the universe? The universe is infinitely expanding and is in a never ending flux of change. We change constantly to a point where we don’t resemble ourselves from a few years ago. There is an uncountable amount of atoms within us comparable to the infinitely many stars in the universe. Stars break down, skin can be torn. Stars are born, cells re-form. We are as remarkable as the universe itself. We are as mysterious, as miraculous, as breath-taking to what was something that Greek philosophers said to be "perfect and eternal". We are the universe. We are human.

he started counting cigarettes the way he did every other night he counted them like flower petals with "she loves me" and "she loves me not" throwing them afterwards to the street below. he started counting cigarettes the way he did every other night he counted them like flower petals but he inhaled the smoke of the burning petals and she filled his lungs and lingered there for what felt like years. he started counting cigarettes the way he did every other night keeping in mind the seconds he lost with each stick he banged his head against his fist and cried apologetically. he started counting cigarettes the way he did every other night but, today, he thought he should stop but he couldn't help it it was the only thing left that reminded him of her - her nicotine lips and her warm glow. he started counting cigarettes the way he did every other night he tried to count the times he said he'd forget or he said he'd move on he took another drag, flicked it to the air, and said, "that's it for today."
