To Be, To Be
Just To Be
As I were... How I were
Oh Just To Be

I call her the rainmaker
Meadow in my heart and a lake abundant
Out in the horizon the rain clouds are
But here in my heart the drops do dance
I call her sunflower
The path unworn is wary of company
A million a second a billion butterflies an hour
For there she were and lucky I be
I call her the rainmaker

old morning sun from whence cometh thou
to take my dreams away from me
sneak in with abandon for virtue
nay burglar could oust such artery
as bright as white as childling clouds
I need no lanterns company
incandescent lights guilty I plead
I pray thee tarry a while for me

Oh! that you were born on Wednesday
then thou can doth as wednesday does
tis not thy fate to ply that road
Look away now child, fight not the cards
tis not your fate, tis not your fate
for only maidens wend to war and horses ride
for ye are the offspring of Wednesday
tis not your station to question wherefore
think not of it my child, let fate decide
It is tabooed to search for the eagle's nest
only they were borne to doth these things
thy worth, tis ransomed by thy skin
resplendent as a future past, that never beest
and lo that road was never walked
By him
Or her
Or we
Or they

I found my compass in the east
Whilst traipsing about the south
And Lo her eyes are the north
I Grow, I Learn, I become the harvest
The strength of the bear, The stride of the peacock
The weight of her kiss, the air around her walk
I can hurt forever and yet love forever
I Learn, I Feel, I become the harvest
The honey bee, the brown sun, the grape
The rudder that controls all hair on my nape
A light is always lit in my west
I Feel, I love, I become the harvest

Let us dance he said, let us dance
Let us never miss an instant chance
For tomorrow we might lose our feet
And lose out taste for all things sweet
He did not ask, in a second we were off
His voice was strong and his hands were soft
And then the song sang a melody to my soul
And the earth began to swirl underneath my soles
What imprisoned my thoughts before he came along
Try as I could, all I could remember was the song
It spoke of a man's love for his boat
And I hummed along from note to note
I never knew I could dance that well
And why he chose me I can never tell
Let us dance he said, let us dance
Let us never miss an instant chance

Alas mine heart tis a desert
mine arid heart bears nay fruits
whither love, she hath cultivated hard
mine arid heart bares nay roots
whence hath thy fertility gone
whither shriveled the lake that graced thy farm
anon thou loveth thy foe: the sun
Surely hast thou met a beast named man
oh sweet pillager
eternally travelling with nay promised land
sole traveller, eternal traveller
arid heart, eternal sand
