Canadian "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, but also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Winston Churchill / / Pretty much sums me up.
The cold air reminds me of you.. Waiting for the bus, walking to school, the taunting cars whizzing by.. It's been almost a year and yet your presence still haunts me. I never expected the bone chilling air would bring back everything. The warmth from my body slipped away as I stepped out my front door, as I walked down the street with the sun on my face, and the smell of the fresh frost on the grass. The wind and the noise from the street mockingly whispering your name in my ear, it's not something I can just ignore, but I try. I try and keep my focus on my feet, the pace of my steps, walking faster and faster to reach the warmth of inside once more, I'm not sure if it'd matter. I have a feeling that you're here now. My mind churns as I sit on the bus, waiting for the destination, waiting for my home. I anticipate the comfort of my new house, a place with new memories and new feelings. Your presence disappears once more as I cross the threshold into my home. Goodbye, forever.

The First Frost
Cause shes trying to stop the fight, trying to be polite, yeah shes wanting a way out, stuck with nothing but self doubt, but shes so confused, & so self abused.. and nothings going to stop her now. Cause hes trying to stop fights, nothing but street lights, Hes trying to live life, trying to drop the knife, but hes so confused, and so self abused.. and his world is crashing down.. Shes wants nothing but him, and shes all that he needs, but shes so confused, and so self abused.. and her world is crashing down..

Stop The Fight
Pull me in, then let me go. It's no big deal, she wont know. You have no strings Your arms are free To love me by the Zuider Zee If you would woo and pull me in. I'd bust my strings for you. But no strings on this boy, just girls, keep playing pretend. You'll keep raking them in, like its just money to spend. You're no one now, ain't got no ties. Just alone in the world, with your greed and lies. He's got no strings So he'll have fun He's not tied up to anyone They've got strings But you can see There are no strings on him. You play them like they're your toys. You'll **** with them, but they don't make no noise. You do nothing but use them, and make them sad. Then pull up with a "oops my bad." This is where it stops, not going to pretend. This is where I leave, where the game ends. I've got no strings To hold me down To make me fret, or make me frown I had strings But now I'm free There are no strings on me...

No Strings
And as the sun sets, a lovers heart grows cold. Stood up by the only one they know. The sun and her light, brought joy to us once. Now the moons only left, to darken her glow. We're lost in these faces, oh the people we knew. The shadows and angry words we shared. Theres nothing left here to hold on too, theres nothing left to show that we cared. Cursing and yelling, is all that we hear. as we walk into this place we call home. We're stuck in this place, got no where to go, so many people, yet we're still alone. I'll lend you my hand, take it if you desire. My heart will always be open to you. I'll never close that door, for it is yours to open. For I am yours to love, and to woo.

Yours to woo.
Hello Stranger, the one who cared. I miss it, the times we shared. I use to know you, You use to know me. Now we're just strangers, but as friendly as can be. We pretend nothings changed, we're holding onto the past. But we both know it has, And that this lie wont last. Time to say good bye old friend, time to say hello. Time to move on from here, time to let it all go. I sit in this chair, waiting for that call. The one that tells me, nothings changed at all. But it has, so that phone wont ring. And for now, all I can do is sing. Sing for the moment, the moments to come. There may not be many, but at least we've got some. Hello Stranger, good bye old friend. One I knew well, but that was then..

Hello Stranger
We've all got battles, but it takes a real soldier to know, how to take it quietly, not just **** and moan. They put you on the front lines, of their battle made for men. You don't know what you're doing, you're just a little over ten. They say this is 'reality' but really, its just theirs. You're not old enough to understand, they're not mature enough to care. You've been set out to fight, this battle like its your own. Meanwhile, you've got other things, that are attacking your own home. They don't see how much you're dealing with, ignorance is bliss. But the more you fight, the more you try, the more at home you miss. Just a soldier, not a child. You're nothing in their eyes, they'll push you till you're old enough, to fight who they despise. Forced to grow up early, that is the life for most, Learning about drugs and other things, when you cant even make toast. We're pushed and pulled by society, Whats right, whats wrong, its the same old story, its the same old song. So, now that my words, have been taken from my head. I guess its time to face the facts, and live the life I've led.
