Love to write, love to read!
Don’t drink near a knife, It’ll bring on a fight With bottles bursting in screams And follies thirsting on action, ‘Till a pool of jelly dried on wood Hears the earlobe discontent not hearing And with freedom bleeds to the floor. Don’t ever entertain a demon Or you’ll get lost in wailing tunes, Of remorse in such guilty glee That the demon won’t flee. I pray you fight all that evil I left And don’t lay a finger on her Or god’ll break it a thousand times. If you spawn a tear on that luscious face Hell for you will be too kind a place. And son, don’t be a bad daddy Like I surely done. No matter how much it scares ya There ain’t nowhere to run. And boy hear my pleadin’ ‘Cause all I can do Is tell you to do what I say And not what I do.

Do What I Say
They call me a ****** But I ain’t done nothing wrong! I swear it – That ain’t me no more But ya’ll don’t care. When I was scraping needles From rusty banana peels Ya’ll sent for help ‘cuz I needed it. All red you was with so much love, For me? Nah for your own selfish Needs. I got some too you know. And I guess the worst part is I believed ya’ll cared And maybe I even fixed me for you, But when I got out clean I found a lot of dirt on my “friends”, My “family”, my blood that wouldn’t bleed For no one but themselves. And at Thanksgiving my blood looked at me Like I was the same old dirt. And I realized no matter how much I cleaned Or scrubbed away my dirt and grime Ya’ll will never see me as anything But what you wanna see. ‘Cuz ya’ll got ***** windows you ain’t cleaned Still distorting your view. And I know I ain’t perfect But I want ya’ll to see, I ain’t just the ****** you see in me.

What must it take to flatten the world? Ships set sail to find new life, Found no avail but destination found Or flatness round they found. Yet what has changed from destination But land and landing on lands To stand on land across a sea, A sea of land, no more to see? Exploration spelled it, impatient still By bottles empty of answers to fill. Or still does shrill boredom reign supreme? Filled by exploration to the scene. Need space, just space, more space in time, More space in space. Shoot rockets to the sky. Such achievement! Such discovery! Oh tide, Send waves across space to echo in time. Like crossing an ocean takes such shame - No shame in shame aside shameful blame - By ignoring waving echoes in time, Like crossing an ocean to more of the same. When no ocean is uncrossed but paradise lost, Leave only spacious space the cost. To build on dying land long tilled, A Shame that shame has lead them lost.

To Cross an Ocean
Oh softest feel upon my breath, - My dearest one - I will not grieve, For you I will have mastered death And so my ancient lungs still breathe. Such burning embers meant to blaze Mustn’t be permit to falter Until far past the end of days When love is laid upon the altar. If reading now and I am gone Love, know within each soothing rhyme, Through loving you I shall live on Despite the binds of earthly time.

Atop the List - My Dying Wish
The sky turns white, though the sun remains bright Minimizing her pupils to leave just pale crystal ***** That show my future in a lasting gaze, Slipping and sliding the shivers away. The snowflakes drop like her whispers in bed Landing softly like decorations on top of her head. Though bundled away to escape the cold, Her warmth emanates, melting my soul. The commuters drive slow causing traffic to grow. I pump up the heat and kick back my feet; Alone with rhythmic tunes and a satisfied mind, Appreciating the sights and enjoying the ride. The sweaters and hoodies, mittens and scarves, Make the evident depth of her eyes loom large. Tender, the feeling of huddling for warmth; Innocent, the beauty that surrounds me these days. Cold and dreary, the winter comes; To warmer places they wish to run. There’s warmth to be found right outside the walls. So ask - do I mind the winter? No, not at all.

Winter
When she came, she came to leave. I did not wait for time to grieve; And when she asked for my memory, So that in her mind, I’d always be A part of her, and her for mine; And though it worked for quite some time, Yesterday she vanished from my mind. My promise lost I said goodbye, To a face that made me cry. For her, I said there was no way To ever arrive at this sad day; But when I did, I did not mind Because stars were born just for their shine; But as with most their light still dies, Until all we have is what’s left behind. To think where fine life once was kissed Now was cold and was not missed – But was her life the thing that shined? Or just a thing that lived to die? There was no answer I could find, Except that love had left my mind.

Blue
Stay low for the cause; That’s how you stay true. History says the common man was you. You ate pain and out came gold, Did you regret the struggle as you grew old? Keep your voice down. The masses might hear, Of words spoken that sound, Like a rich man grows near. Show them gold is for fools. Pity the greediest men. Though if you had their tools, Could you have been? Reclusive you lived, so lonely you died. It’s been seen before, but by which design? Fate that curses genius to misery; Or pride that yearns for no legacy? Oh why do we slave over the gift? What a twisted sense of glamour! Bring me the fossilized tears, I must know the taste! Was it the struggle that made you great?
