"Will you be okay?"
You asked me so casually,
as if I was some sort of a character
from a video game, you were playing,
with a couple of extra hearts to spare.

But the heart is strong,
it breaks
over and over;
but still lives,
and still loves.
Persisting.

And then her heart changed.
Or at least she understood it.
She fell in love with a girl,
more than she is allowed to admit.

my heroine - a monster in disguise,
dressed in white,
divulged with elegance,
feeding on the souls of the romantics.

draped with blinding lace
of golden threads.

with your amber eyes,
illuminating through and through
on every inch
of my body.
but what is there to lose,
if i had already given my life to you
even before it started,
every beat,
every breath?

never meeting

fire and ice,
burnt or melted.
but do i really care,
if we always end up
on the same side of the bed?

I remember you on that empty street, under the dark sky and moonlight. Beneath the dim, yellow fluorescent that casted a perfect trace of your silhouette.

First meetings are uncertain. Some may be the last and some may lead to another. Ours was definitely a naught - a unornamented exchange of passive hellos. Just a momentary encounter of stranger to stranger.
