Determined was she to finish the race,
a little girl of just four;
born alas without a left foot
but Jelian has so much more.
With courage few could understand;
strength of character beyond her years,
she took part in sports events for disabled folk,
receiving the loudest of audience cheers.
For other disabled people
laden with personal doubt and despair,
she provides them with inspiration,
encouraging them to dare.
The epitome of innocent, child-like faith,
determination and true grit,
this gallant girl fought on and on
blessed with plenty of spirit.
She is Jelian.

For the earthquake stricken people in Mindanao
×A collaboration with Maia Padua..another published author and poet..
As the wrath of the earth
Swipes us off-guard
Our own works knelled down
Its debris scattered all around
Roars from beneath unearthed
Deafening the already deaf ones
Once so numb by her cry
and her lullaby
In the midst of rustling winds
and roaring sounds so frightening
Cries of men rippling
Wondering why such wrath
whipped us all
the rage we cannot fathom why
Had led us back to what we are
from nothing...nothing
We light this candle of hope
Praying that your tears will be gone
Your broken heart will be whole
Faith and faith alone withstand
Like a flame of lighted candle
Flew to where the breeze would go
May it bring hope to everyone
Lifting and bring their hearts afire
If only we can sing a song for you
A song to keep you going
A song of hope not fear
A song of faith to bear
Keeping the faith burning..burning
GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH.. Agape

Note: this was the cry of my heart yesterday when I visited the Blessed Sacrament
after the mass..I just want to be with HIM forever, if He wills..
Dear Lord..
Oh, how I long to be with you now
To feel your presence
giving me the assurance
That you will listen to the cry of my heart
Your hands are not too short..yes
I am safe..safe in your embrace
To be with you is my desire
Hear me..I'm calling

I am on my knees,
believing in the reality of your presence
With my mind and senses silent
Let me honor you with all my heart and mind
I am tired of the struggles,
sufferings and bitterness, forgive me
My eyes look up to you
With confidence, with filial trust
I come to you for mercy
I uncover my wounds, I bare my shame
I want to see you..high and lifted up
Look down on me, a humbled heart
Let me walk and not falter
Not to give up when i am weary
Grant me the grace to accept with patience
The monotony of daily task
To embrace with resignation
The fatigue and exhaustion
Grant me the ability to relax and be calm
In the thought of your love
To find rest in the assurance
That you are with me....always..always

Be stilled by a mouth of prayers
As I sing my blues away
Hearing your sighs of brokenness
I lay dead on these runaway thoughts
Choosing on forever's dream
And drinking the 'eyes' of 'whys'
Reasons I call subdued
By the colors of her runaway thoughts
Stilled by a foaming mouth of the sea

Time eternal, time translucent of light
Time in our hands
Who would believe
That we were once borne in a lifetime
All by itself and the many generations
That came after..
Time eternal as they say
Yes..there is always a time for us
But memories however vague
Still color our world of make believe
Reminiscent of an era not so long ago
Taken by light as another dimension
The wherefores, and henceforth
Man so solid in light
A time for us..time as you guessed
It is in our hands
Whether you open it
To welcome opportunities
Or when you close it to finalize matters
To stand and corrected
And be at peace with God.

When people are difficult to understand
And you are judged for what they see in you
My shoulders are ready, ready to be lean on by you
I can feel what you've been through
The road I travel may not be the same as you
But we share the same valleys and plains
I can be your ears to listen to, I promise
I will bear your pains and your heart aches
Just lean on and trust me
Reach out for me, my arms are wide
I will be your guiding star in the night
Lean on me, my shoulders are ready for you.

A little fun keeps you young;
A little laughter keeps you bright.
When you get to that age
When a mid life crisis looms
Go out and act like a kid again.
Don’t worry what the neighbors might say
They are probably crazy anyway.
Change your hair color grow it long
Change your style and wear a thong
That will put some spring in your step
Or goose yourself to give you some pep
Don't worry what the neighbors might say
They are probably crazy anyway
ha ha ha ha ha ha
Dance till the wee hours in the morning
Let loose, but don’t get lost in the spring
Smile, even if there’s nobody around
Run, until you’re nowhere to be found
Don’t worry what the neighbors might say
You are more than crazy than they anyway..

What has friendship got to do in times of need?
A thousand reasons perhaps for one to see
Someone in collaboration with unlikely times...,
Thus, I turn to the Great Provider for counsel
And wisdom for such trial,
For I too have also been there
Sometime, somewhere buddy!
I could not offer you fortune,
For I have none but perhaps
Some note to cheer you up
Like the earthworm burrowing in mud
To fit in some kind of home and feel 'comfy'...
Yes, that is you all the while,
Laughing our heartaches to no end
Until they got tired of you;
Such loving care I find in you, my friend-
A medicine to a searching soul for passion

just wondering when we reach that age
a permanent member, sixtyzen
forgetting where we placed that toothbrush
and wearing that thick eyeglasses
blood and sugar pressure coming up
visits to a dentist is a must
keeping fit..nah..should be
exercise to a T..whooo...
but don't worry, life is a journey
leave it to the ONE above
sixtyzen is a prize, a treasured catch
others will follow our path, don't give up..
