I'm a 19 year old student who found an output for everything through art. Poetry isn't just a writing style, it's a lifesaver, a stress-reliever, a love letter, and anything and everything else.
I wear my smile like my nail polish, chipped and fading Sometimes painted on to hide what’s underneath Or fake and pressed on, to be as perfect as possible And it hurts like nothing else when it breaks

I wear my smile like my nail polish...
You can have my shoulder to borrow bury your tears in the ground water the dirt with your sorrow and hope that the Earth doesn't drown

Every day you become my valentine Mine for every moment in every dream You do not need to buy me chocolate Or flowers to go with my jewelry Just give me a promise to stay around Be there for me, forever and always, And I will be yours if that is okay It might not be February fourteenth But you can still be my valentine now Be mine forever and I will be yours

My Forever Valentine
Looking for love is like waiting for an elevator, waiting patiently for something to move you. Not knowing who will be behind those doors And once you’re in, what direction you’ll go. Sometimes you’ll be stuck with bad people, but they will leave, not extending their stay. More people will call the elevator to their floor. You will go to their level, but not stay there. Soon the one will step in and meet your gaze, then you’ll always be with your new love. There are ups and downs, unwelcome guests, and decisions to make about where to go If you’ve found the on, don’t let them leave. Ride out the rest of your journey together until the elevator stops and one of you gets out

Elevator
We are soulmates, kept apart by time To not have met would be the worse crime Fate had us together, first as friends growing stronger as each text sends Destined to be more, wanting to be more I then felt the love I never had before Facing the skeptics by being together supporting each other through the worst weather Star-crossed lovers, due to fate falling deeper in love with each date A love that most people don't understand they say we don't mean it, they can't comprehend that we are meant for each other's heart Never to be broken or kept apart

Destiny
Sitting in silence just looking at each other eye contact remains but I get lost, hazel hues leave me a map to your world

Haiku: Holding Hands
I’m the girl who nobody knows I’m the girl who doesn’t pose I’m the girl who sits quietly in back I’m the girl who has a panic attack I’m the girl who can never sleep I’m the girl whose pain is deep I’m the girl who appears to be shy I’m the girl who tries not to cry I’m the girl whose heart is broken I’m the girl who is always outspoken I’m the girl who tries to be good I’m the girl who is misunderstood

I am this girl
Rest in peace to the sidewalks outside Cracking and crumbling as they collide They had a good life, supporting us all But even the strongest foundation can fall Saying my goodbyes, paying my respects Going back along the split concrete Thinking of past memories, dragging my feet That’s when I tripped, on that same sidewalk On which I paid tribute exchanging sad talk I caught myself with my hands, hearing a crack and a twist Just like the sidewalk that fractured my wrist
