Canadian just a kid with an open mind, trying to create memories that are mine and legacies to leave behind
dear school, you taught me how to read you taught me how to write you taught me math but you've taught me more than that you've taught me who to love, who to avoid who wants you to help, but won't fill your void who to love, who to trust who knows how to fall in love the ones who only chase lust you've taught me that this fast paced chase to be great is nothing if you don't have faith in yourself you've taught me that this so called truth is laced with fake intents and that people are two faced when it comes me, when it comes to you, my so called peers i've learned you only judge on exterior with no time to explore anything but my demeanor with no time to wander in my mind with no time but anything but what you call mine teachers who block your creativity fake friends, actually enemies crazy lies, people with crazy lives at what expense, all of yours and all of mine everyday the overall torture of being oppressed and abused telling you what to do when you're thinking if only they knew what power was lying in you school, you've taught me what i don't mind losing you've taught me the power of choosing you've taught me to return to my abuser because in my head, i'm a leader but at school i'm a loser.

it's something i wish i could say out loud it's something i wish i could see from the clouds it's something that nothing can trump it's something that i can't dump something that won't slump, something that won't fall something i'll always catch something that's only about heart and doesn't revolve around cash it's something i won't let go an opportunity i won't let pass it's something as fragile as glass as soft as cotton it's something that will never be forgotten it breaths my dreams my goals my passions ....... it's my soul

MY SOUL
the gray skies predicted the rain but the warning i shook it away, now i call the sudden rain sudden because i don't recall the earlier events of today the way the clear sky became clouded and the sun shifted out of sight the evident fight in the sky trying to decide if it's night and when the sun fought and finally won, it revealed an arc of light at the end is not a *** of gold, it's a different kind of surprise despite what we might think is great in this world today everything we have learned to love, nature creates - Lela Smith (08/14/2013)
