American I'm a child of God, a fool for love, a fan of Disney, and a downright all-around not-too-shabby guy. / / I'm the kind of man that will sit and watch a sunrise by your side and dance under the moonlight by himself. All in the same day.
I wasn’t great, but I was at least. And at that, I was something. Allowing you to have your fun making time for games, But ready when play is done To call you by New names. Hear me listen Touching feelings Watch me see, Leader kneeling.

She walked to the foot of his cave. Knowing now what she must do. With a shaking hand she lowered the small basket to the mouth of the cavern. “I’m back.” Two large glowing amber eyes opened, with a small look of surprise. Footsteps were heard, the ground shook, and out stepped the great Lizard. The girl stood, “Just as I promised, Daniel” The Lizard’s eyes began to ripple, numbed by darkness, now wet with tears. It had been four years since he had spoken to anyone, in fact he wasn’t certain he could speak at all. He lowered his head, and she looked at him, and held the creatures jaw. With an unexpected gesture, she kissed his lips. If you could call them lips. Nothing happened. The dragon was still a dragon, and the girl still a sweet girl. “I was sure that would be it, but maybe I’ll just have to come back again Danny-” She began to step back as the great lizard opened it’s gnarled mouth. “No. Please. Stay?” His words were coated by a small storm of billowing ash. With a shallow breath he summoned a small ember of fire, and with his tail beckoned her to have a seat. She sat, smiling and began to hum a little. The Lizard began to hum along to the familiar tune. - Or something like that-

Bel' and the Dragon.
What hope do I hold When I’m next to the rest? For I am not very bold And I’m far from the best. What hope do I have Among Romeo Montague, Who leapt into death In one swift swoon? What hope do I have Among Mister Clark Kent, The Man of Steel Who remains unbent? What hope do I have Among Martin Luther King, Who wore his heart on the outside Rather then the hue of his skin? What hope do I have Among men like Jesus, Who took his own body And broke it in pieces? What hope can I hold When I’m next to the rest, For I am not very bold And I am so far from the best. I’ve never climbed a mountain Without losing my breath. And I’ve never held a woman Without being scared to death. Perhaps there is nothing that I truly lack, For rather then standing next to others I should simply stand in back. The question I have for each father and sage Does the path I trek become easier in years Or even harder with age? ...no... I’ve set a new trip, Followed my heart, Taking life’s script Rewriting my part. I’ll embrace my own way Rather then try to condemn, I’ll discard the man That I’ve been made, And just be the man I am.

If you told me I was on your mind, I would have quickly fled. Not doing so to be unkind, But to be on your heart instead.

Neverland never was, Wardrobes lead to nowhere, For even if there was an OZ There’d be no one left to go there. It took me years to realize, It took me time to see, That all these magic tales, Had cast a spell on me. Princes must be charming, While every beauty needs her sleep But what truly is alarming? Our true beauty buried deep. The truth is, Dwarfs are just plain scary, Trees are just plain wood A frog will never marry, Three wishes do no good.

You didn’t just grant me lessons You gave me first hand experience You raised me above other sons And it never did make much sense, I was no prodigy, No young Heracles, Going the distance Bringing new hope For your great resistance Just a hungry child Who you left to the wild -He's never forgotten The aches of first begotten.

1st Hand.
His journey began One year ago; Treasures collected Theories rejected Unions constructed Others obstructed. And upon his cabin wall He took his blade And began to scrawl: "The compass that Serves a sailor best, Is the scope buried Within his own chest."

Nod and smile While his mouth ***** Pause. Release a noise To fill the void And to avoid The natural inclination, To laugh in his face.
