A Trip To The Beach (Children's Story)
I thought that I would try my hand at a short children’s story. / --- / Johny was bored. In fact he couldn’t remember having ever felt so fed up in his entire life. Dad had fallen asleep reading the paper while his mum sat reading some silly book with long words he couldn’t understand.

Beth A Limerick

Castles
She smiled, awhile I tarried there, fashioned castles out of air. She laughed, set my heart aflame, tis love, or my overactive brain. / I think of her but who is she? A bird encaged longing to be free? Is she content in her cage? Or does she beat the bars with rage? Do I put my thoughts / on her? Building castles in the air? Who am I? who is she? Both are struggling to be free.

Exams (story)
“Exams are important don’t let anyone try to convince you otherwise. People will try telling you that they don’t matter in the great scheme of things / “There is more to life than exams Lisa. It isn’t the end of the world if you don’t obtain the grades to get into university” mum said. / This is all ******** I’ve no intention of spending my life flipping burgers in some crummy burger bar. Do you know they have the cheek to call these places restaurants?! Problem is strictly between you and I, you won’t let it go any further will you? Promise, cross your heart and hope to die? Well as you only have my first name and it would be impossible to trace me I’ll let you into a little secret. The truth is that I am not academically gifted. Don’t get me wrong I try. No one tries harder than me. I’ve spent weekends huddled over my books cramming for my exams, “Lisa no mates that’s me” but it goes in one ear and comes out the other. I just can’t remember things, head like a sieve thats me!

Forbidden Fruit
To explore the garden of Eden, beautiful in it's innocence. To savour the prospect of sin. To gaze with adoration at fruit bursting with juice hanging, temptingly low inviting, asking to be plucked. To fight desire, to give in and be, forever lost.

Girlfriend
I love you because I can tell you my darkest secrets, things which would make the strongest of men go blubbering in search of his mummy. You judge me not, / my blackest fantasies are your deepest desires. / In the depths of night when all but the vampire sleeps we speak of philosophy, of the darkness which lurks within the human heart. You are always there

Got The T-Shirt
I have sought comfort in the masses and lost myself in crowds. Like an excited child at the fair I have sought ever greater speed, for speed kills thought. / I have looked for excitement and found fleeting pleasures which turn to ashes come the morrow. I have played the cynic while caring deeply, laughed to / hide the fact I care. I have been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

Listening To The Rain
Listening to the rain. Safe inside, no fear of the midnight knock on the door. I am at peace free to think my own thoughts. No pyres of burning books, no / sound of jackboots coming over the hill. Only the noise of the comforting rain wild and free.

Park After Rain
The sky is dark, the rain drenched park stretches away. I stand the land bleak speaks, a feeling of desolation creeps into my soul, the whole is dank and grey. Nature is all around, the muted sound of birds is heard, the sky is louring and grey. / The wind blows, trees sway, the dark park stretches threateningly away.

Run For Your Life (story)
****** flirting with that barmaid like that. He says that he was just having a laugh but I’m sick of it. Everytime we go out it’s the same / “Oh its just a laugh Lucy. Just chill out, get a life”. / “I’ll get a life without you” I told him as I threw my ***** and coke in his face. He was furious but give him his due he didn’t retaliate. He’s a womanising ******** but he has never been violent.
