how do we measure the depths of our souls
without knowing first,
the deepness
of the boundlessness of time
and second, without having received
at all?

the most extraordinary phenomenon is the connection,
unworldly magnetism,
untouchable, unseeable passion between
two strangers

i wanted to be satisfied in ways no
body could satisfy me
i needed the wind and the sun to
flow within me
i needed mountains and insects and
the earth beneath my feet
i wanted to move
with the clouds.
I needed to be tangled within the roots of every tree
and to find myself grow tall enough to touch
the edges of
our inner space,
only then might i fall with all of the drops of rain and
penetrate the earth to
evaporate my
self
again

fear
is
the
equivalent of
death
and life is
never merciful

What is more beautiful
than the silence of
dawn?
And at what other hour
were we given
the world
to ourselves?

what has ever been
so good
to make
you split in
ha lf
at the grooves
of your design,
making
crooked
the
measureless
architecture
of your
framework

approach
the bare-
skinned
flames
like a meddlesome, open-
mouthed,
potential
love.

does genuine
passion
have a place
amongst our
artificial
existences
(⸮)
and does it
no longer
have a
place in our minds, beneath the skin, or
amongst our
underd/eveloped
biological
double-stranded
structures

brace yourself for the new day as
it twists
you around and
breaks
your
bones.
Life can nearly **** a man
but
so far we’ve survived.

it’s
not always
easy
keeping love
for
company
when
misery
has
always
held on
best
