for when you read you are to learn
let my body be of clay sculpted by the choices i make creating myself into artwork that i can admire. practice and devotion will grow my craft until i am skilled with a chisel one day. for now, i start here; before a statue, a mound of clay.

prophecy of body
you are a black hole in my heart, the more lightyears away i drift, the less i feel your gravity pull. i know if i were to let you swallow me into that vacant patch of black my body would compress, my system would collapse. so, in the darkness you still exist; forever reaching for me.

grief
to share a territory would mean to expose my wrists to a wild lupus who bares its fangs. so i will hunt my prey alone while listening to the echoing howls of a pack in the lonesome sliver of moon.

lone wolf
the foggy shiver of a drive, on the shoulder i turn to look-- two dead deer lay quietly. one's flesh is torn and melted in the other still embraced by a fresh-night fur. the story they both live yet always ending on the same chapter. how strange it must be; to love thy neighbor both of different species, color, culture. in the conclusion they're both just bones and strangers laid next to each other in company, forever.

two dead deer
the devil didn't start off with wrath or the power of cruelty, but was given it. you can be the most terrifying beast, yet still lack a voice. we all view our experiences through a broken glass that shifts our reality, in the jagged shards of our journey, we can piece together something more beautiful than before how we can bend our truth with will.

poem from the analyst
"You're me." "But I am far taller, far wiser, far older." "But you're me." "Well, yes, you do have a familiar face, like a house in a dream that felt like home when it wasn't." "But you are me." "But your eyes are still tender, as is your attitude towards the world. You have no thought to the monsters; You're just afraid of the darkness." She sways, homemade bow tucked in her hair, hand taking mine without any flinch; "But you are still me."

what once was
feather wings crack, covered in sin. halos twist their way into horns. the light, once warm now burns skin. through my cruelty and hands covered in violence i try to remember how the wrath of the devil was also given him by god.

the fallen angel
Maryjane, get on that plane, and ride it far, so far away. meet me in a different time, where I am yours and you are mine. fly out somewhere new and nice and don’t even bother thinking twice; we’ll meet again, somehow, somewhere. But for now, you don’t belong out here. Maryjane, I love you so. I only want what’s best, you know? so I’ll say it simply, no need to strain: Maryjane, get on that plane.

Maryjane, get on that plane
i stare at my poem “oranges” wondering how it became. the fifteen seconds i spent; the five days of fame. now my brain cannot write and i yearn more for the numbers, instead of the sweet language i used to discover. so how did i do it? how did i reach #1? i didn’t write for others, simply, i wrote for fun.

How to be a #1 Writer on HePo.
when i opened my eyes, there was light. then there was you. you were my god. coaxed in your blood, i let out a strangled cry. for oh, how beautiful you were Mother. your delicate hands lifted me, the cells you used to create me, ascending me into the sky. there was no God, no Father, or Son. oh, how beautiful you were Mother.
