Every time I cry
It builds up a wall
Knowing that I felt pain, not wanting to feel it again
It hurts
It's like being stabbed, over and over again
It hurts
Pain from rejection makes the wall taller
The wall around my soul, and my heart

Want to hide everything, so that nobody knows
That it hurts
Drift slowy away
Make my pain not known

I thought we had it all
The world in our hands
And tasting the sweet smell of success
But we do not
We are in the clutches of the hands of defeat
Held back by this power
While other’s pass
And cross the finish line
While we were pushed behind
Even though we could have made it
Other’s who are better pushed us behind
And leave us stuck with the feeling of defeat
