Eric-Shabazz Larkin was born an artist and illustrator, but developed his leadership style and creative entrepreneurship through his years in the advertising industry. He has an unusual career in this regard; an art director by trade, he’s been known to wear many hats in the creative process--artist, writer, designer, illustrator, director, composer and award-winning poet. / / He was raised in Norfolk, Virginia, with three other siblings. He's lived in Kenya, Portland, Seattle, London and now, New York City. The places he's lived have shaped how he sees the world and why his work reflects so much diversity. Larkin studied art in high school, but attributes much of his technique to his career in advertising as an art director. This is where his affinity for big type and bold color comes from in his paintings and illustrations. / / “My favorite thing about being an artist is that there are no walls in the house of creativity.”
I am not saying you are the best anything. I am not saying you are not either. I'm just saying, you are mine. You are mine. You are mine. You are mine.

my marriage.
Every man should have a boat. A boat to sail the seas. If you cannot afford this boat, okay. You have hands. Make one. And if you do not have hands, then you must use your smile. For many smiles have paid admittance upon the open blue. And if you have no smile, then you must speak. Speak from your heart. For it is this that sets the course of your ship. But if you have no heart, then you must find one. For how can a man guide the rudder if he cannot guide his soul? But if you have no eyes to find your heart. You must use your ears to listen. And when you hear the sails, just be ready to jump aboard. But if you have not sound. And you have no sight. And you have no smile. No heart. No hands. You might be the boat. And I will be your captain. Alas, we will sail the seas.

Old School Sweets
I woke up this morning and I had two penises. One was smaller than the other. I thought to myself, this is going to be an interesting day. The little one looked up at me and said, "well good morning sir." Kind, that ***** was. The big one looked over and said, **** you" I thought that was ironic, being a ***** and all. I didn't play with it much after that.

Don't Be a Big ****
If you fear they will find someone better, to them, you will become insecure and unattractive. If you think they will never find anyone better, your arrogance will push them away. If you never hold them, they’ll never know you love their touch. If you hold them too much, they’ll be happy to get away. If you hurt them, they will hurt you back. If you hit them, they might like it if you do it the right way.

Big If.
Pop pop. Gunned down. Hands up. On the ground. I never seen a prison cell Accept my own house. ‘cause as soon as I step out side police come out. I never seen a prison cell accept my own mind As soon as we have some fun They creep up from behind. Pop pop. Gunned down. Hands up. On the ground. I did an extra 7 years Just to make sure they don’t mess with me. But the color of my skin aint a match for my master’s degree. I make a lot of money and I’ve never sold D. But I know they gunna find a reason eventually. Pop pop. Gunned down. Hands up. On the ground. They never have to put the cuffs on me for me to be in jail. because i’ve seen it so many times, the memories are my cell. Pop pop
