life, death, and somewhere in between
what is the purpose?
what dose this all mean?
to live is to experience both heart ache and joy,
to spend each day not knowing lifes ploy.
Death is the void the living dread,
lifes greatest secret she guards with the dead.
but somewhere in between lies the prison that holds me,
a place that both living and dead avoid gladly.
I am not dead,
I feel lifes warmth flow through my veins,
I feel lifes kiss and I know of lifes pains.
But I am not alive,
I watch from fogged glass all the people around,
watch as lifes play amuses, astounds.
To feel what they do,
To take part in lifes waltz.
To be embrase the void,
To be rid of my faults.

Sun set
Moon light bathes the world,
celestial embrace
The way its glow caresses your face.
The stars are prideful,
Yet they are wise,
Content with second too only your eyes.
The night winds song,
Sweet, strong,
Yet it's your whisper for which it longs.
The night sky obscured.
Hiding his face in jealousy

A knock on the door,
are you there?
This endless silence,
I can not bare.
Mute words fall upon deaf ears,
Unknowing hearts surrounded in fears.
A peek through the window,
whats inside?
Unrequited glance,
I can not hide.
Blind eyes see only darkness in light,
Unknowing minds rush through the night.
Am I giving up?
Is he still near?
Or has he left me behind in here.
Sound breaks through,
light pierces darkness,
glances requited and sound flows from lips.

Cigarette hugs and Fireball kisses,
How can this love be fictitious,
How the smoke fills my lungs with tender embrace,
The cinnamon whiskeys gentle caress,
This is true love,
Warm, Comforting,
Whiskey tells no lies as it touches my lips,
The smoke bares no knife as it surrounds my hips,

Look at your mother than your father,
What once was right now seems so wrong,
What once was wrong seems to be gone,
Where to go what can I do?

The absence of light, cast down from your glory,
Try as it might, it is trapped in your story,
A friend to the end, no one knows you more,
But it cant contented, it has tried before,
It wants you to see, it wants you too hear,
But you close your eyes, it wont disappear,
Why do you forsake it? Cast it aside?
When its followed you, stuck too you with pride,
Its love un-requited, efforts in vain,
Who ever thought shadows felt pain.
I use to think the shadows mocked me,
But I am nothing more than a shadow, stuck by your side,

A million lights dance on the ground,
Speechless I cant make a sound,
For one light shines bright so pure and true,
My eyes don't lie, that light is you,
I looked around me to my surprise,
All other lights dimmed in your eyes,
Un-requited, its for the best,
These feeling stay locked in my chest,
Just know although you may not be mine,
In my eyes you will always shine.
