not all at once like a vacuum,
but in little wisps like the wind's low, secretive whispers
every action you perform overwhelms me,
leaving me in awe,
as to how such a captivating being
can possess such a tortured soul.

however what scares me more is the way you revolutionize with consumption
the way you become belligerent,
the way you explode,
the way you hurt,
yet, you go back to it time and time again.

you can hide behind many things
such as the cracked spine of 'The Bell Jar' perhaps even 'Wuthering Heights'
or
a perfected fool proof smile
but your eyes reveal your every intimate detail for my being only
with not a morsel to spare.
