When the salt chuck was mine I promised to dance as the ocean waves on the smiles you grant For the sea I was a trap of destiny To the sand I was too slippery to stamp I embraced the wind bearing the taste of brine I rendered a pledge from your bright eyes into the sea’s chant Every edge of this tedious isle You were the unending aria At dawn, you would passionately rip the queen conch The hush of the gale would turn into wail The sun would set as the shore would reflect Your voice a ditty, a glassy reverie When the hurricane arrived You were carried away by fright A zephyr into a whirlwind Drawing abyssal rumpus into ordeal I tried to hold your hand tight But you whispered “this is what it’s supposed to be” You carved the salt into your skin- a sight of crystalline art And breathed “i found a better shore than your stormy coast” It was only a sojourn you said So you left my briny, dull and murky The salt chuck was a wreck The queen conch was whacked

You say you love me when you let outrage shower my soul letting the tears escape and thoughts grumbling You say you love me when you're tired of explaining confused notions seizing seconds into hours unwelcome thoughts conquering my sense You say you love me when you offer two words for my essay disregarding the good points heeding slipped appalling curses You say you love me when I see more lights in your eyes without me i was once the peek of your existence wider smiles, forgetting i exist I am a boke in those glimmering eyes blurred and easy to forget I know, I know-- I knew.

Boke
My bed sheets remain the same With the tainted love stained on white roses With the scent of skin fusing and hopes colliding All for the pleasure of sweet surrenders To my divan where you used to breathe in Silence of exhaling roars To my pillowcase trapped forever Deep groans that left glorious scars Bashfulness banished off the frame Rolling strengths into the threads Savoring the agony of loud throbs Whispering my name to depth For the love that is lost For the love that never fades away For the love that wanders every day To my bed linens carved to eternity
