how could someone who claimed to "love" me do me so wrong
how could you smile when your claiming you "werent" happy all along
or is it just because you think you found something better
with me you had stress and with her you were free
with me your were dishonest and with her you only spoke honesty
but whose fault is that to blame
is it yours or is it mine?

looking back on how things played out i wish i tried harder for you to stay
because the worst feeling was seeing you when you walked away
but its always the person who was blind sided with the most pain
because deep down i was truly happy but to you she was the sunshine, and i was your rain
and the umbrella was my love that i tried to shield you from ever being hurt
meanwhile all you did was bury me under your lies and pile of dirt
and eventhough it hurts my pride and you dont deserve to hear

why am i so stupid baby,

Liking someone is your choice,
but falling in love is out of control,
wanting a guy who will like your looks but love you for your soul,
its hard to tell if a guy likes you too,
because they'll deny it to their friends but act flirty towards you,
and nervous to confront your feelings because they may deny it to you too,
but maybe girls think to much,
maybe he never really liked you at all,
maybe his flirtyness was just an act all along,
maybe you'll find someone who is open from the start,
and when you tell him your feelings he'll poor out his heart.

So many empty promises,
so many things that you forget,
leave me hangin' i wonder if you ever regret?
regret all those things that you said you'd do,
but never ended up coming through,
i dont know what you expect me to do,
after all those things you've put me through,
no one gets how much it hurt me,
and trust me it still does,
and how much you meant ,
but like you expect me to do i guess ill just forget,
even though theres many of you,
and i know i can do better,
those empty promises and empty feelings you left
just get better and better,
over time those wounds will heal,
and overtime it wont hurt so bad,
but i give a big thanks to my first empty promise.. my dad.

What meets the human eye is something that we shouldnt even bother to see,
its not about whats on the skin its about whats underneath,
not the clothes or the hair,
its not fair,
to just judge someone on how they look,
it like judging a book by its cover,
but society has caused people to change,
shes too skinny or too thin is always being said,
or her smile is crooked or her hair is thin,
does it even matter at the end of the day,
eventually those pretty looks will fade away,
i think its safe to say that a good heart will always stay,
so why torture a good person for how they look, eh?
dont judge someone unless you've walked a mile in there shoes,
because maybe the prettiest girl at school goes through a lot too,
but you just go by what you see,
dont take there effort to actually read,
because your still to busy looking at the cover,
the world would be so much easier if we didnt judge eachother,
were all beautiful in our own way,
just remember to think before you say.

guys want a loyal girl,
but arent willing to do the same,
cheating on a girl like it a game,
wanting a girl who will be down to chill,
making sure shes always staying real,
but boy you better do the same,
you expect to look at a girl and hope she wont feel insecure not even for a moment,
want a girl where your her only focuse,
hard to promise,
but i hope you find that girl,
just promise that you'll also be loyal to her,
because the only thing you owe someone is the truth,
so dont a girl you love her if you dont mean it,
because she might do something crazy like believe it.
