It's the pain that's driving me insane,
The profound feeling of emptiness,
The gut-wrenching burn of hurt,
That scorches my own soul,
The silence of the anguish,
No one can hear it but me,
Screaming, as it echoes in my heart,
It won't dull, or set, or die, I don't know why,
I can talk about it,
But that just makes it worse,
It's a curse, I am cursed, or am I the curse?
It's conflict, the constrict, the never ending down shift,
What do I do, and for who,
Myself? Someone else?
It's so catastrophic for me,
I can't let it be; I want to let it be, especially for me,
The timing is so bad,
But remembering what we had has no joy,
It feels false, it's a loss, a great big vacant lot,
But it's back to that burn,
The tears I churn,

I was supposed to learn,
But trust always get broken,
