Its been a long trip On a rolling sea Sometimes the waves were strong Sometimes profoundly gentle There was much to learn On the rolling trip back home Much to collect and apply From each wave that arrived The sea is calmer now The waves more gentle Her observations are more keen She has arrived at being old Carol Suchecki Aug 2025

Becoming Old
I met a woman on the bus She told me about her favorite politician He was different than mine I told her my thoughts about mine His character, his words, his loves, his actions     Our conversation went on for a while She applied each thing to her own choice We parted as friends With much to think about   Carol Suchecki

The Dream
What is Peace? I ask my Soul. Is it the absence of conflict, Is it perfection? The answer comes that it is not The conflict remains But harmony prevails. All need not be the same Create a salad Not a stew. The beauty of our Earth experience Is in bringing distant points together, Creating beauty, music, art and love. It takes more than one To create a symphony. It takes more than one to love. And in loving all our distinctive and different selves, The One that we become Becomes Divine. Blessings of Peace, Carol, 2011
