Pain visited me today,
It creeped in as an unexpected guest.
I felt his presence, he looked me in the eye & smiled as he tore my soul into pieces.
My world came crashing down…
Uncertainty filled my mind,
sadness befriended me
My eyes were appointed as clouds, they began their duty of giving out water.. causing non-perennial dams..
The touch of her hand,
I’ll never forget.
I watched her fight death, she put up a good fight…
God gained more than an angel but a soldier indeed.

I could take centuries wringing about you,
Oh dear friend.
My newfound, unfamiliar friend.
If you told me -a year ago- that you’d be my best friend, I would’ve probably given you this fake smile you’ve forced me to wear all these months.
I would’ve probably flipped my braids, taking the other direction and vowing never to look back.
But here you are,
Oh dear friend.
You replaced my best friend. The second you realized that I knew that she left, you didn’t hesitate to introduce yourself.
You managed to take over my speech as well.
Sobbing became your definition of eloquence and I had to quickly learn that since you made it clear to me that you are here to stay.
You not only managed to build a home in my heart but you make certain to leave your mark; leaving me with bloodshot eyes on a daily.

While I've read many times before that;
it's a bad habit to fall in love with somebody who doesn't love you.
To hold on to locked doors..etc...
It is also a terrible & tedious exercise to search outside for answers that are found within.
As if wanting some sense of comfort
-( a certainty). I mean if ***** shares similar sentiments then
it must be 'okay' it is then Possible...
We feed off confidence from others,never really trusting ourselves enough to define us.
Ask yourself,
How's it my purpose if you have to confirm it for me?
Look within & doubt your doubts, after all you're the only you that knows you.
