Yesterday is alive
Its the shadow that follows me today
Its the fabric of my life that determines my tomorrow
It haunts me all my waking hours
It unloads the mistakes of my past
I want to shed it from my skin
But it takes of hold of me and chokes me
Yesterday is alive for me
more than tomorrow or today.

I can still feel the grass tickle my hand
There you are beside me in the forest
We run around without fear of who we might run into
The three forests never scared us
We peered through metal sewers
Where did Michaelangelo go?
We dug up all the dirt in the front
Wondering when we would reach China
In the rain we played, but not with boots, raincoats or umbrellas
Instead the summer showers were warm enough for us to wear our
bathing suits
We stayed up late, whispering feelings
We always shared a room
Our dolls, though poor, were loved by us
We made clothes from marker colored socks
That house was housing but we were rich
It was always me and you
What else can I ask for sister?
Time stands stood still with you

Can you keep a secret?
I'll tell you if you can
There is a special girl
A daughter and a friend
I happen to know her
She happens to be sweet
And all of heavens angels
Their hearts cannot compete
Her hair is like the suns rays
Her eyes are like the rain
And when you see her smile
She truly is a saint
If you haven't guessed so
Ill tell you if you want
This special little person
Is my precious love

When the world is sleeping
And all the dreams are free
I stay awake alone at night
And think of you and me
The people they dont know us
They try to understand
A love like this is not of bliss
Instead, a trembling hand
Today I feel the sorrow
Tomorrow I feel the pain
I see you in the meadow
At cherry oaks and Maine
Will you come and see me?
Is it too late for us?
I want to say Im sorry
For the betray of trust
Although we might have ended
A ghost you shall remain
And when the world is over
Ill wait for you the same

I sizzle, I fry, I try and I try
A woman, a mother, a saint
When all's said and done
The sound of the gun
It triggers the moment of fate

I was born with a wild soul
Wishing for the rustling of trees in the canopy
Feeling the breath of beasts on my face
Wanting to feel my heart race

Rays of sun through trees
The shimmer of morning dew
There is much peace here

The sound of the clock
It haunts every last breath
Suddenly it stops
