As the heavens blanket the earth in white
I can't help but stare at this wondrous sight
So beautiful, so pure
not a single creature will stir
It whips around, yet there is a calm
like a beautiful rising of the dawn
a living snow globe
but this one isn't made of a mold
It brings a calmness to the mind
the gentle, reassuring kind
A reminder of sorts
not ever meant to distort
Take a step back
don't worry what you lack
For life is meant to be enjoyed
not to be devoid
So take in the beauty around
turn that frown upside down
You are worth so much more
worth it, to be so adored
Let the universe show during this snow
just how amazing you really do grow
You are destined to be happy
not feel so **** ******
Be true to yourself
don't hide upon that shelf
Take that pushed away strength
that you harbor at arms length
Life will no longer be bland
but ever more so grand
Stay positive, and let your confidence rise
Let's try that one on for size
Let nature slow you down

Memories with you picking grapes
all while wearing your hidden cape
Have come to mean so much more
than they ever did before
Time together between the vineyard rows
a place where silence never had any time to grow
Stolen glances were what I sought
genunine smiles that were never fought
This was a first you see
for both you and me
I never realized how powerful this moment would be
I can still vividly recall
the fun we had that fall
Laying in the rows you were
this memory will never blur
The rays of sun upon your smile
had me feeling something I hadn't in awhile
Watching you enjoy such simple pleasures
made me rethink things and their measures
This process that we shared
will forever be uncompared
For this time with you
brought about something new
Grapes were plucked
smashed with some luck
and left to ferment
for a wine it will represent
Fast forward to the Spring
where the birds begin to sing
This memory we have bottled
shall be used as a throttle

I don't want to let you go,
is it the feeling of the unknown
or the thought of never hearing from you again,
that sends my heart into a tailspin
I can not imagine a life where your not there,
even though I've lived it before
But even then, there was a void,
Like the heart of a droid
Would the thoughts of you ever fade,
or run thru my head like a non stop parade
Will all the memories bring a smile to my face,
or will my tears leave a trace
So many things I did not want to know
How will I ever go on if you go
Would you step in and say stay
or would it not bother you if I went away
The time has come for me to see
just how much you mean to me
